  • Patent number: 11591175
Abstract: In a case where feeding of a subsequent sheet by a feed roller is started after the trailing edge of a preceding sheet is detected by a post-registration sensor, a control unit of a sheet feeder controls the feed roller to rotate at a first feeding speed, and in a case where the leading edge of the subsequent sheet has passed through a nip position between the feed roller and a separation roller, the control unit controls the feed roller to rotate at a second feeding speed.

  • Patent number: 8376935
Abstract: An observed image forming apparatus comprises: an apparatus body including a plurality of connector receivers to which electric connectors of a plurality of observation devices for obtaining an image of an object to be observed can be connected; a cap that is to be mounted to one of said plurality of connector receivers to which any of said plurality of electric connectors is not connected; and a cap insertion and extraction detecting circuit that detects whether or not the cap is mounted to the one of the connector receivers in the apparatus body, wherein, when mounting of the cap has been detected by the cap insertion and extraction detecting circuit, one of the observation devices an electric connector of which is connected to the other one of the connector receivers in the apparatus body is controlled to be driven.

  • Publication number: 20090079820
Abstract: An electronic endoscope apparatus comprises a processor unit so as to allow an A type scope not having a timing generator and a B type scope having a timing generator to be connector-connected to the processor unit. The electronic endoscope comprises: an in-client-circuit timing generator and a first image signal processing unit both corresponding the A type scope; and a second image signal processing unit corresponding to the B type scope, wherein control is provided such that when the A type scope is connected to the processor unit, the in-client-circuit timing generator and the first image signal processing unit are operated, whereas when the B type scope is connected to the processor unit, the second image signal processing unit is operated.

  • Patent number: 4976149
Abstract: An ultrasonic distance sensor generates ultrasonic waves and transmit same toward a target surface, the distance to which is to be measured, through a predetermined path. The sensor is also provided with a reference surface which reflects ultrasonic waves, which reference surface is disposed within the aforementioned predetermined path of the ultrasonic waves. A receiver associated with delayed pulse generators receives the ultrasonic waves reflected by the reference surface or by the target surface, selectively. Arithmetic operations based on the elapsed time between transmission of the ultrasonic waves and reception of the ultrasonic waves from the reference surface derive the transmission velocity of the ultrasonic wave based on the known distance to the reference surface. On the basis of the derived transmission velocity and the elapsed time measured with respect to the ultrasonic waves reflected by the target surface, the distance to the target surface is derived.

  • Patent number: 4741193
Abstract: A roll cooling device for a rolling mill having rolls comprises cooling water guide plates each having a curved surface along a circumferential direction of rolls, the cooling water guide plates being provided close to the rolls, cooling water supply headers for supplying cooling water to cooling water passages defined by the cooling water guide plate and the rolls, water discharge headers for discharging the cooling water, supplied by the water supply headers, from the cooling water passages, support members supporting the cooling water guide plates, and curvature adjusting members for changing curvature of the guide plates in accordance with a diameter of the rolls. A thickness of the guide plate is increased from each edge portion to a central portion of the guide plate in the circumferential direction of the roll. In the case where the roll diameter is largely changed, the clearance between the guide plate and the roll is kept suitably, thereby sufficiently cool the rolls.
