  • Patent number: 5410748
Abstract: A space diversity receiver comprises a plurality of antenna connectors, with each of which an antenna is to be connected, a signal selecting portion for selecting one of signals from the antenna connectors, a signal processing circuit block for producing an output signal based on a signal selected by the signal selecting portion, wherein a signal sampling operation through which the signals obtained from the antenna connectors are sampled for every short period to be supplied to the signal processing circuit block is performed by the signal selecting portion during a specific period so as to select one of the antenna connectors through which a signal giving rise to the best output signal of the signal processing circuit block is introduce and the signal introduced through the selected antenna connector is continuously selected by the signal selecting portion during a period successive to the specific period, the signal selecting portion being controlled to perform the signal sampling operation in such a manne

  • Patent number: 5073835
Abstract: When a disk on which signals are recorded in a number of separate tracks is inserted into reproducing apparatus, reproduction signals from a head are first obtained and tracking is performed for each track to determine the position of the head that gives the strongest reproduced signal from each such track. The tracking positions that respectively give the strongest signals from the several tracks are stored in a memory. When it is later desired to reproduce signals from a particular track, the head is positioned on the basis of the content of the memory.

  • Patent number: 5038217
Abstract: Audio signals are recorded on recording tracks of a disk shaped recording medium in a predetermined schedule for making establishment of an associated track information table easier and allowing after recording of audio signals with respect to each video signal. In addition, selective or entire erasure of video signals and associated audio signals is automatically performed when one of the recording tracks recording one of the video signals or the associated audio signals is ordered to be erased.
