  • Patent number: 11164127
Abstract: A method for an on-site purchase at an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) can include: analyzing likely impulse purchases for customers during a given season, the likely impulse purchases being associated with each customer's profile which comprises preferences, purchase history and search history; stocking items for customers to purchase and pick up at the ASRS, the stocked items comprising general and seasonal items, and supplementary items selected based on an analysis of the likely impulse purchases; receiving a customer's order for purchasing an item; detecting a customer's arrival within a predetermined area around the ASRS; offering a subset of the stocked items for the customer to add to the order, updating the order based on customer's purchase selections or declines; completing a payment transaction of the updated order; automatically updating the items for inclusion in the ASRS based on the customer purchase selections or declines.

  • Publication number: 20190344965
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments describe a system, method and computer-readable medium for providing items for purchase at an automated storage and retrieval system in a facility. Example embodiments include a storage tower configured to store and dispense items, where the storage tower includes storage receptacles, shelves, a receiving opening, a delivery opening, sensors, a user interface, and a transport apparatus for transporting storage receptacles from the shelves to the delivery opening. A computing device, in communication with the sensors and transport apparatus is configured to execute a purchase module to determine items as possible purchase items and transmit instructions to pick the items and place them in a storage receptacle. The storage receptacle is presented to a user via the delivery opening, and the purchase module detects a user removing at least one item from the storage receptacle and identifies the removed item using data sensed by the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20070185995
Abstract: Methods and telecommunications equipment (102) for routing data are disclosed. The telecommunications equipment includes an interworking telecommunications network element (ITNE) (202) and an Application Controller (AC) (204). The ITNE has multiple connectivity resources. The method includes interworking between a circuit-switched network and a packet-based network through the telecommunications equipment. The method includes detecting a configuration change in the ITNE and advertising a proxy regarding the configuration change for the benefit of the AC. The configuration change is autonomously performed by the ITNE. The proxy is provided by the ITNE. Further, a failover event may be detected by the ITNE, and circuit-switched and packet-based resources of a first board of the ITNE are autonomously transferred to a second board in response to the detection of the failover event.

  • Publication number: 20070147398
Abstract: A communication system sets a media session between a first media gateway and a second gateway through a media gateway controller. The first media gateway receives a control address of the second media gateway from the media gateway controller. The first media gateway allocates media processor resources from a pool of media processor resources at the first media gateway and communicates transport information associated with the allocated media processor resources to the second media gateway. The first media gateway also receives transport information associated with allocated media processor resources of the second media gateway. The media session is then set up between the first media gateway and the second media gateway, using the allocated media processor resources of the media gateway and the allocated media processor resources of the second media gateway.

  • Publication number: 20070133517
Abstract: A method and apparatus for selectively redirecting session control for a user equipment in a telecommunication system include: a home server (108), a proxy server (204, 206), and a user equipment (202) for transmitting a breakout request (208, 210) to the proxy server (204, 206) to break out of an initial service route that includes the home server (108) to a direct service route that bypasses the home server (108).
