Abstract: A water-insoluble biocide component can be effectively dispersed in water by using as a dispersant a phosphoric acid ester salt of a nonionic surfactant.

Abstract: A plant growth regulating composition comprising the choline salt of 6-hydroxy-3(2H)-pyridazinone and, as adjuvants, a polyoxyethylene oleyl ether and a triethanolamine alkyl-sulfate. The composition according to this invention can be prepared at a lower production cost and is easy to apply. When applied, it exhibits low toxity, and good penetration and transferability.

Abstract: A composition for moderating the growth of graminaceous plants is disclosed which comprises at least one component as an effective ingredient selected from the group consisting of sulfonates and sulfuric esters having the formulaR.sup.1 --SO.sub.3 Mwherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkylaryl group containing an alkyl group of 8 to 20 carbon atoms, the residue of succinic acid esters represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent an alkyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms or an alkylaryl group containing an alkyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, or the group R.sup.4 O wherein R.sup.4 represents an alkyl group of 8 to 20 carbon atoms or an alkylaryl group containing an alkyl group of 8 to 20 carbon atoms; and M represents an agriculturally acceptable organic or inorganic salt.

Abstract: A germicidal herbicide for agriculture and horticulture, which comprises at least one compound, as an active ingredient having the formula (I);r--x--ch.dbd.ch--cooy (i)wherein R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X represents S, SO or SO.sub.2, and Y represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, NH.sub.4, an alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a polyalcohol residue which may have therein ether bonds formed by intramolecular or intermolecular dehydration, an acetal glycerol residue, or an oxyethylene (1 to 20 units) or oxypropylene group (1 to 20 units) terminated by an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A germicidal herbicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes, which comprises at least one compound as an active ingredient, of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X represents S, SO or SO.sub.2, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 which may be the same or different representing hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an oxyalkylene group having 1 to 20 units of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, 2-sulfoethyl or a salt thereof, or 2-carboxyethyl group.

Abstract: A herbicide which comprises at least one compound as an active ingredient of the formula (I); ##STR1## wherein X represents a halogen atom or an alkyl sulfinyl or alkyl sulfonyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, n represents an integer of 0- 3, Y represents SO or SO.sub.2, and R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A composition which increases the yield of pulse, comprising an effective amount of at least one component selected from the group consisting of a sulfonate represented by the formulaR.sup.1 --SO.sub.3 M,wherein R.sup.1 represents alkyl or alkenyl of 8 to 20 carbon atoms or the residue of succinic acid esters represented by the formula, ##STR1## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms or alkylaryl containing an alkyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms and M represents an organic or inorganic cation; and a sulfuric ester represented by the formulaR.sup.4 --O--SO.sub.3 M,wherein R.sup.4 represents an alkyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms or an alkylaryl group containing an alkyl group of 8 to 20 carbon atoms and M is the same as defined above.
