  • Publication number: 20060125419
Abstract: The present invention discloses a control circuit of power supply with selectable current-limiting modes, wherein the control circuit which maintains the power-output circuit of the power supply within the energy-limiting standard is performed with automatic detection mode. In the present invention, a current-limiting set unit of the control circuit is coupled to the power-output circuit and provides a current-limiting set value according to power-output levels of the power-output circuit and outputs a current-limiting set signal to a current-limiting switch unit. The current-limiting set unit sets up switch junctions on the power-output levels of the power-output circuit, and the current-limiting switch unit receives the current-limiting set signal to determine the state of the switch junctions in order to provide current-limiting detect values of single set or multiple sets of power-output levels for the current-limiting set unit.

  • Publication number: 20060061921
Abstract: A control circuit and control method of electric output modes for a stacked power supply system which has a circuit board to integrate a plurality of power supply devices to output electricity. The circuit board has a control circuit to actuate the power supply devices. The control circuit provides a parallel power supply mode and a backup power supply mode, and is connected to a switch device which provides a first signal source and a second signal source corresponding to the parallel power supply mode and the backup power supply mode to enable users to select an actuation signal output from the control circuit to determine the parallel power supply mode or backup power supply mode of the power supply devices.

  • Publication number: 20050248889
Abstract: A chain reaction control circuit for parallel power supply provides greater power without changing the design of the original power supply structure. It includes a control unit to receive a first power actuation signal output from a power actuation unit, then output multiple sets of second power actuation signals to parallel power supplies. The multiple power supplies that are coupled in parallel receive the second power actuation signals and transform electric power simultaneously, then output electric power. After the electric power transformation has been finished, first power confirmation signals are output from the power supplies to the control unit which receives the first power confirmation signals and outputs a second power confirmation signal to a linked load. And the power supplies supply the corresponding and matching electric power to a linked load.

  • Patent number: 6636977
Abstract: A multi-processor control device is adapted for use in a power supplying apparatus having a plurality of power supplying units, and includes at least two separate processors adapted to be connected to the power supplying units, and an alarm generator connected to the processors. The processors are adapted to jointly perform control functions associated with status monitoring and load balancing control of the power supplying units. The processors are connected to each other and further perform a continuous verification operation, in which signal exchange between the processors is continuously executed to enable each of the processors to verify whether or not other ones of the processors are operating normally. Each of the processors is capable of generating a warning signal in the event that any one of the processors fails to respond thereto due to malfunctioning of the latter. The alarm generator is activated by the warning signal from any of the processors so as to generate a warning output.

  • Patent number: 6081437
Abstract: A load balancer is to be used in a power supplying system which includes at least two power supplying units that are connected in parallel to supply power concurrently to operate an electrical load. The load balancer includes at least two sensors, each of which is adapted to generate an ac sensor output corresponding to power output of a respective one of the power supplying units. Each of at least two rectifying and filtering circuits rectifies and filters the ac sensor output of a respective one of the sensors so as to obtain a corresponding dc sensor output. A microprocessor receives the dc sensor outputs from the rectifying and filtering circuits, and calculates an average input value therefrom that corresponds to a balanced power output for the power supplying units.

  • Patent number: 5977733
Abstract: A fan control device includes a fan rotation control circuit adapted to be connected electrically to a fan and adapted to control activation and deactivation of the fan. The fan rotation control circuit generates a voltage output corresponding to driving current flowing through the fan to indicate operating speed of the fan. A comparator circuit is connected to the fan rotation control circuit and is operable so as to perform a comparison operation in order to compare the voltage output of the fan rotation control circuit with a reference speed signal, and so as to generate a logic output corresponding to result of the comparison operation. A processor receives the logic output of the comparator circuit, and controls the fan rotation control circuit to deactivate the fan upon determining that the operating speed of the fan is abnormally slow, indicating that the fan is in a near-breakdown condition, based on the logic output of the comparator circuit.
