  • Publication number: 20010036595
Abstract: A clearance between an upper knife and a lower knife of a slitter is set at 30 to 100 &mgr;m, and the slitter cuts a sensitized printing plate. In the sensitized printing plate cut by the slitter, there is a shear droop which is 20 to 30 &mgr;m high at the cut part, and a burr which is less than 50 &mgr;m high. If the maximum height of a surface roughness of a cut surface of the sensitized printing plate is 1.2 &mgr;m to 12 &mgr;m on the average, a hydrophilic property of the cut part improves and the stain of a frame can be decreased.

  • Patent number: 6271692
Abstract: An internal circuit of a semiconductor integrated circuit includes an inverter inputted with an input signal and is supplied with a power supply voltage during normal operation. The input terminal and the internal circuit are connected by a signal line having a resistor. A voltage determining circuit for determining whether a voltage of an input signal inputted to the input terminal is a signal voltage for use in the normal operation of the internal circuit or a high voltage for setting up an internal circuit test mode is connected to a node of the signal line. P-type MOS transistors are connected in series across a node of the signal line and the power supply voltage. The source of a first one of the P-type MOS transistors is connected to the power supply voltage together with the gate electrode and the substrate, and the drain is connected to the drain of the other P-type MOS transistor.

  • Publication number: 20010009516
Abstract: The present invention discloses an active clamp forward converter that reduces the charging voltage of clamp capacitors as well as the voltage applied to switching elements, making it possible to reduce the on loss of the switching elements while also enabling the size of the capacitance elements to be reduced. The active clamp forward converter comprises first and second FETs which respectively connects first and second ends of a primary coil of the transformer to positive and negative terminals of a direct current power supply, and third and fourth FETs which respectively connects the first and second ends to the negative and positive terminals of a direct current power supply via capacitors, wherein the pair of first and second FETs and the pair of third and fourth FETs are alternately switched on and off sandwiched about a period when both are off.

  • Patent number: 5212503
Abstract: A substrate for use with a liquid jet recording head has a semiconductor substrate, functional elements formed on said semiconductor substrate, and electro-thermal transducers electrically connected to the functional elements for generating thermal energy to be utilized to discharge liquid. The substrate comprises a common electrode electrically connected to the functional elements in common. The common electrode has a notch at a position facing control electrodes formed between adjacent functional elements. The notch minimizes the overlap of the common electrode and the control electrodes to decrease the probability of an electrical defect.

  • Patent number: 5105228
Abstract: The housing of an image forming apparatus is divided into upper and lower units, separated by a sheet transport path. The upper unit can be opened to expose the sheet transport path. Developer on a sheet is fixed by a heating roller and a pressing roller, both arranged in the sheet transport path. The sheet, which is likely to be wound around the heating roller, is reliably released from the heating roller by releasing claws. When the upper unit is opened, the releasing claws are separated from the heating roller by a claw contact/separation means. When the upper unit is closed, the releasing claws are automatically brought into contact with the heating roller.

  • Patent number: 4631798
Abstract: A release agent applicator for a copying machine in which voids in the release agent contained in the applicator are substantially eliminated, thus providing an improved spreading performance of the release agent onto a fixing roll of the copying machine. The release agent applicator is made of a porous polyethylene tetrafluoride tube, the pores of which are partially closed except in areas where the release agent is to ooze out onto the fixing roll. Those partially closed pores in the tube are partially closed by a flattening operation so that they cannot draw release agent thereinto by capillary action.

  • Patent number: 4580521
Abstract: A release agent applicator for use with a copying machine providing even application of the release agent to a fixing roll of a plain paper copying machine with little leakage of the release agent. A porous polyethylene tetrafluoride resin tube is accommodated in a divided-type support composed of two members which, when joined together, form a longitudinally extending opening having a width smaller than the maximum width of a cavity formed inside the support. The major portion of the outer surface of the porous resin tube is in contact with abutting walls of the cavity to be sealed thereby, and the remaining portion of the tube surface extends outwardly through the support opening to provide a release agent outlet. Both the porous tube and the support may be provided with air inlets having the diameter greater than the diameters of the pores in the porous tube to introduce air into the interior of the porous tube.

  • Patent number: 4573428
Abstract: An improved release agent applicator for use with a copying machine in which a porous polyethylene tetrafluoride resin tube is installed in a support with the part of the tube which forms an outlet for the release agent contained in the tube projecting from an opening in the support. The outer surface of the porous tube is covered with a film of a polymer having a low melting point, such as polyethylene. When the applicator is installed, the normal heating of the fixing roll causes the polymer film to melt, opening the applicator for use. Accordingly, leakage from the applicator prior to use is prevented.

C. and a pressure of 20 and 100 Kg/cm.sup.2 in such a state that the powdery coal forms a layer on a dispersing plate from the surface of which the hydrogen gas is emitted and which is inclined so that the coal layer may move thereon in the down grade direction thereof. The gasification furnace of this invention is characterized by the provision of a housing 11 which defines therein a reaction chamber, and a dispersing plate 36 provided in the housing for dividing the housing into an upper space A and a lower space B and laterally inclined with a predetermined gradient.
