Abstract: A code reading device (1) captures, and records as multi-value image data, a slip (4) on which a plurality of code symbols (3a, 3b) are printed, detects, as a specified position of a finger (2a), a position of the longest succession of black values in the vertical direction from the lower frame of binary image data obtained by binarizing the multi-value image data, and reads the code symbol (3a) that is present near the specified position.

Abstract: A method for printing on both sides of a roll sheet including superimposing and pressing a thermal transfer sheet and the roll sheet between a platen roller and a thermal head so that the bottom surface of the thermal transfer sheet touches the top surface of the roll sheet and the bottom surface of the roll sheet touches the platen roller, and printing an image on the top surface of the roll sheet while conveying the sheets; and superimposing and pressing a thermal transfer sheet and the roll sheet between a platen roller and a thermal head so that the top surface of the thermal transfer sheet touches the bottom surface of the roll sheet and the top surface of the roll sheet touches the platen roller, and printing an image on the bottom surface of the roll sheet while conveying the sheets.

Abstract: A cassette supply apparatus wherein cassettes that hold documents are stacked in the vertical direction and stored in a cassette holding stacker. When a cassette is supplied to an image reading apparatus the lowermost cassette stored in the cassette holding stacker is coincident in height with a cassette supply port of the image reading apparatus and when the cassette is returned from the image reading apparatus a cassette discharge port is coincident in height with the uppermost cassette in order to return the cassette on the uppermost cassette stacked in the cassette holding stacker on the basis of the discriminated position.

Abstract: An image-scanning apparatus for inputting image data to an image processing device. The apparatus includes an image document holding cassette for holding an image document, a document holder stacker for storing the image document holding cassettes therein, and supplying the image document holding cassette into a scanner, the scanner for irradiating the image document located on a document supporting table and inputting the image data from the irradiated image document with an input sensor through a magnification mechanism, the magnification mechanism for changing the magnification of the image document at said input sensor so that the magnification of the image data is changed, and the document supporting table being capable of changing the angle of the image document to the scanner so that the angle of the image data is changed.

Abstract: A color image recording apparatus wherein a color photosensitive material is exposed by light responsive to a color still image signal. The apparatus comprising a device for obtaining picture element data by sampling color signals of three primary colors of the still image, a device for .gamma.-correcting the picture element data to be recorded, an FOT for exposing the color photosensitive material by three primary colors responsive to the picture element data from the device for .gamma.-correction, a horizontal deflecting device for horizontally sweeping the electron beam of the FOT; and vertical deflecting device for vertically sweeping the electron beam.
