  • Patent number: 8732924
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a piezoelectric vibrator comprises supporting a piezoelectric vibration element in a case by a conductive bonding member, the piezoelectric vibration element having a metal layer formed on a piezoelectric substrate formed of a thickness shear based piezoelectric material, and adding or reducing a thickness of the metal layer to adjust a resonant frequency of the piezoelectric vibration element to a predetermined value. The method also comprises leaving the case into an atmosphere filled with vapor of a material having a nonbonding electron pair, making the metal layer resultantly exposed to the vapor subject to chemical absorption with the material having the nonbonding electron pair, and hermetically encapsulating the case in a state substituted by an inert gas atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 7439819
Abstract: Deterioration in frequency stability with time in a conventional piezoelectric oscillator using an accumulation type MOS capacitance element is improved. A P-channel transistor type or an N-channel transistor type is used as a MOS capacitance element in a variable capacitance circuit used in a piezoelectric oscillator. A bias voltage is applied between P-type or N-type extraction electrodes formed in source and drain regions and an N-type extraction electrode provided in an N-well region or a P-type extraction electrode provided in a P-well region. Instability in the MOS capacitance element with time is thus eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5048927
Abstract: An indication display unit for a vehicle, includes a reflecting device having a reflecting surface directed to a driver's seat which reflecting surface has a reduced reflectivity. An indicating device having an indicating surface directed to the reflecting surface of the reflecting device. Operational information concerning driving operation of the vehicle is indicated on the indicating surface of the indicating device, and is reflected on the reflecting surface of the reflecting device to be visibly observed by a driver. As the reflectivity of the reflecting surface is reduced, the visibility of the displayed image from the indicating surface may be improved. Since the reflecting device is provided on a dashboard, and the indicating device is located at any position other than the dashboard, a meter hood may be removed to ensure more space in the dashboard.

  • Patent number: 4925272
Abstract: An indication display unit for a vehicle comprises an indicating device provided in a dash board and a reflecting device provided thereon. An indicated image is reflected on the reflecting device so as to be visibly observed by a driver in superposition on an external front view through a windshield. A shifting device of the indicated image is provided for moving a projecting position thereof in accordance with the velocity of a vehicle. The indication display unit of the above structure can be divided in two types; a direct image projecting type and an indirect projecting type. The respective type can be defined as the indication display unit provided with an indicated image shifting device. By using the above display unit, the position of the displayed image to be observed can be shifted in accordance with the vehicle speed, whereby the visibly observable range by a driver can be greatly enlarged without moving the position of the driver's viewing point.
