  • Patent number: 6299972
Abstract: The microcapsule magnetic display sheet is sequentially provided thereon with a transparent front sheet, a microcapsule layer coated on the transparent front sheet and then a ultraviolet ray curable resin layer. The ultraviolet ray curable resin layer is formed by painting liquid ultraviolet raycurable resin on the microcapsule layer first and then hardening it by irradiating it with UV rays. As the liquid ultraviolet ray curable resin can fill fine gaps of the microcapsules, no hollows left between the microcapsules and the UV resin layer. As the UV resin filled in gaps shares wording pressure, the microcapsules are fully protected and hardly be destroyed. After painting the liquid UV ray curable resin on the microcapsule layer and before it IS hardened, a separable film is covered on it. While a film is covered on it, the sheet is hard and if the film is separated, the sheet is soft. So the stiffness of the magnetic display sheet can be regulated by covering or not covering a film.

  • Patent number: 5963498
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a memory address of a digital signal processor in which a memory address is independently managed for each for during parallel processing of a plurality of jobs and no program of the same content as others is stored redundantly. Two bits of a high order A19 and A18 are masked among memory addresses of 20 bits from A0 to A19 which can be accessed for internal and external memories by a digital signal processor. In an address setting and an address computation performed on a program for executing each of jobs of the digital signal processor, only an address space of 18 bits from A0 to A17 can be accessed by an address pointer. The masked two bits of A19 and A18 are accessed by an address area register.

  • Patent number: 5668648
Abstract: A computer-assisted holographic-display apparatus comprises a diffraction image generator which receives an input image signal representing an object and computes corresponding diffraction pattern with a first sampling density. An interpolation processor is connected to the diffraction image generator via an intermediate page memory. The interpolation processor subjects the diffraction pattern to the interpolation process to create an interpolated diffraction pattern with an increased second sampling density. An interference pattern generator is connected to the interpolation processor to compute an interference caused pattern between the interpolated diffraction pattern and a reference wave by converting amplitude and phase distributions of the input image signal into the intensity distribution. The interference pattern is displayed on a previously selected displaying device.

  • Patent number: 5183347
Abstract: An apparatus for printing images on a booklet comprises, first and second paired pinch rollers for conveying pages of the opened booklet to a printing head, located between these paired pinch rollers, a rotatable platen opposed to the printing head and located between the paired pinch rollers, guide plate for guiding one page of the opened booklet to the platen, and a press member for fixing the free end of the one page to the platen. The second paired rollers hold the other page of the booklet but may slipe the page when the free end of the one page is fixed onto the platen thereby adding tension to the other page of the booklet as the platen is rotated. • Patent number: 5028991
Abstract: A color multi-function type copying machine is disclosed which includes an image input unit for optically sensing an input image and generating an image signal. A function memory stores an ink color used in a color frame to be written in the input image in order to designate its partial image region and a specific image edit function assigned to the ink color and desired to be executed by an operator so that the ink color and the specific image edit function can be rewritten. When a closed loop-like color frame of a selected color is written in the input image, a color frame region detecting unit detects a shape and a color of the color frame. In response to the detection result, the memory is accessed to determine an image edit function corresponding to a first selected ink color of the detected color frame. A color edit unit executes one or a plurality of image signal processing corresponding to the determined image edit function for the input image signal.

  • Patent number: 5022184
Abstract: A manual window regulator in which a pinion rotatably carried by a window glass and driven by a manual handle is held in engagement with a rack which is fixed to extend in the direction of movement of the window glass, so that a manual rotation of the handle causes the pinion to roll along the rack in meshing engagement therewith so as to drive the window glass thereby opening and closing a window. The transmission of rotation from the handle to the pinion is effected through a tape stretched between a drive gear rotationally driven by the handle and driven gear coaxially fixed to the pinion. The rack and the pinion are usable also as the parts of a power window regulator. The manual window regulator therefore can be easily converted into a power window regulator by using an electric motor for driving the pinion in place of the unit including the handle, the drive gear and the tape.

  • Patent number: 4926251
Abstract: A color copying machine has a scanning-type proximity linear image sensor unit for optically scanning an input image and producing an image read signal, and a color printer unit for producing a copy image corresponding to the input image at limited levels of printing density. An image type discrimination circuit receives the image read signal, and at least partially discriminates the type of image based on a pattern matching technique, thereby producing a discrimination signal for specifying the image type in a pixel region of a predetermined size of the input image. An adaptive signal processing circuit also receives the image read signal, and performs different image signal correction processing in accordance with the discriminated image type, thus producing a corrected image signal, which is supplied to a multi-value dithering processor.

  • Patent number: 4908988
Abstract: A self-driving closure device for moving a closure member such as a window glass of a vehicle between an open position and a close position. The device has a motor movable together with the closure member. The motor has a pinion that meshes with a rack secured to the vehicle door or a rotary drum on which an intermediate portion of a wire secured to the door is wound, so that a thrusting force for driving the window glass between the open and close positions is generated as a reactional force as the pinion or the drum is rotated. A mechanism is provided between the motor and the window glass so as to absorb any offset between the direction of movement of the glass and the direction of movement of the motor, so as to ensure smooth movement of the window glass.

  • Patent number: 4827335
Abstract: A color reading apparatus having a document table upon which the documents to be read are placed. The document table is formed of transparent glass which is illuminated by a light source, the light source being driven by a light source driver. An image of a document to be read is focused on an image sensor through a focusing lens and through first and second color separation filters. Each of the color separation filters have first and second filter elements which are formed on a transparent substrate and are aligned in the direction from which a photosensor array of the image sensor performs scanning. The image sensor is driven by a CCD driver and generates an image signal corresponding to the focused image. The CCD driver is controlled by a control circuit which is connected to a reference clock. The image signal output from the image sensor is amplified by an amplifier and converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter. The digital signal is then supplied to an image signal processing circuit.

  • Patent number: 4745467
Abstract: A color copier comprises a color line-image sensor, a matrix circuit, and a color conversion circuit. The color line-image sensor reads a color document, to output a plurality of fundamental color signals. The matrix circuit converts the fundamental color signals into a brightness signal and two color-difference signals. The color-conversion circuit converts the brightness and color difference signals into ink-amount control signals for controlling the amounts of color inks used in a color printer. In order to decrease the memory capacity of the color conversion circuit and faithfully reproduce dark colors, a nonlinear conversion circuit is provided at the preceding stage of the matrix circuit. The nonlinear conversion circuit is arranged to increase a change in level of an input signal in a low-level range, to an extent greater than that in a high-level range.
