  • Publication number: 20240264154
Abstract: The invention provides ultrasensitive methods for detection and quantification of target analytes in samples. The methods can be multiplexed to allow simultaneous detection and quantification of multiple target analytes. The methods can achieve an attomolar limit of detection. The invention also provides related compositions and kits.

  • Publication number: 20180071526
Abstract: Disclosed are electrostimulative grafts that include at least one galvanic couple with an anode spaced from a cathode. The anode and cathode can be made from biodegradable metals. The graft can include a porous graft matrix material receptive to tissue ingrowth that occurs between the anode and cathode. The electrostimulation provided by the galvanic couple after implantation of the graft can impact the development of tissue within and/or around the porous graft matrix material. Also disclosed are methods for making electrostimulative grafts and for galvanically electrostimulating tissue growth in a porous graft matrix material.

  • Patent number: 9616110
Abstract: Fabrication method for stratified and layered tissue to repair osteochondral defects. In a method of the present disclosure, the method comprises the step of applying a first direction magnetic field to a first quantity of a first collagen solution to align collagen within the first collagen solution in a first direction relative to the first direction magnetic field, forming a first layer of collagen. In a method of generating an aligned collagen layer of the present disclosure, the method comprises applying a first magnetic field at or greater than 0.1 Tesla to a layer of a first collagen solution defining a horizontal plane, within a temperature at or between 2° C. and 45° C., to generate an aligned collagen layer.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 11, 2017
    Assignee: Purdue Research Foundation
Inventors: Corey P. Neu, Tyler A. Novak, Garrett Shannon
  • Publication number: 20150105323
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an engineered collagen composition comprising collagen, wherein the collagen composition is compressed to form a gradient of at least one physical property. Methods of using and of manufacturing the engineered collagen compositions of the present disclosure are also provided.
