  • Publication number: 20240155311
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reliable SPS configuration for MBS. In the solution, a first device starts a first timer upon receiving, from a second device, configuration of a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for a multicast and broadcast service (MBS). Then if the first timer expires and there is no information received to activate corresponding SPS scheduled transmissions, the first device transmits to the second device a message indicating that the first device failed to receive the information. This solution allows reliable SPS configuration for MBS.

  • Publication number: 20240056776
Abstract: This disclosure presents methods and processes to allow a user equipment (UE) to map a hybrid automatic retransmission request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback to one or more HARQ-ACK sub-codebooks for received services. The one or more HARQ-ACK sub-codebooks can be concatenated into one HARQ-ACK codebook and then communicated to a communication node, when those services use a HARQ-ACK feedback that is scheduled for the same time instance. Various methods can be used for the concatenation order depending on the number of multicast and broadcast services (MBS) for which HARQ feedback is to be provided, and depending on whether HARQ-ACK feedback is to be sent for unicast services at the scheduled time instance. The concatenation order can utilize an increasing order or a decreasing order of the concatenation order parameters.

  • Publication number: 20230413295
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to frequency domain resource allocation for multicast traffic. A method comprises: receiving, at a first device and from a core network element, multicast traffic to be scheduled for a second device; generating assistance information for the second device, the assistance information enabling the second device to identify, within a bandwidth part configured for the second device, a frequency domain resource allocated for the multicast traffic; and transmitting the assistance GC information to the second device. The method further comprises: receiving, at the second device, the assistance information from a first device; and determining the frequency domain resource from downlink control information based on the assistance information. In this way, a significant flexibility to schedule multicast traffic can be provided, and a significant complexity reduction to a terminal device can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20230413296
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for search space configuration for multicast traffic. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a first device determines, from a group of search space sets configured to the first device, at least one search space set for monitoring multicast traffic from a second device, based on at least one of a priority of the multicast traffic and respective types of the search space sets. The first device monitors the multicast traffic from the second device in the at least one search space set. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a first device receives from a second device a configuration for CSI reporting. The configuration comprises at least a block error rate target and an indication of a number of HARQ transmissions. The first device determines Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) based on the block error rate target and the number of HARQ transmissions indicated by the configuration and transmits a CSI report comprising the CQI to the second device. The solution enables CSI feedback that is suitable for spectrally efficient and reliable delivery of Point to Multipoint services while meeting the delay requirement, in particular in the context of NACK-only feedback on common feedback resources.

  • Publication number: 20230217326
Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for a primary secondary cell (PSCell) change failure. In example embodiments, a master network device receives, from a source secondary network device, a first request for a change of a terminal device from the source secondary network device to a target secondary network device. The master network device receives, from the source secondary network device, an identification of a source PSCell operated by the source secondary network device and serving the terminal device prior to the first request. The master network device further receives, from the terminal device, an indication of a radio link failure of the terminal device in a PSCell and transmits the indication of the radio link failure to the source secondary network device along with the identification of the source PSCell.

  • Publication number: 20230146999
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to time domain resource allocation for multicast broadcast service. A first device receives, from a second device, DCI comprising a TDRA field, and determines, based on at least one of an identifier for scrambling the DCI, a RRC state of the first device or a type of traffic configured for the first device, a TDRA list from a set of configurations for TDRA. Then the first device applies, based on the TDRA list, the TDRA field for reception of the traffic from the second device. In this way, a TDRA list to be used may be determined in an optimal manner, with all terminal devices receiving multicast and broadcast traffic determining common values for time domain resources where data traffic would be scheduled.

  • Publication number: 20230060839
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to estimating downlink size for a multicast traffic. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a first device receives downlink control information (DCI) for a multicast traffic. The first device determines field size(s) in the DCI based on one or more parameters which are associated with the field size estimation for the multicast traffic. The first device decodes the DCI based on the determined field sizes(s). In this way, the DCI can be blindly decoded correctly.
