  • Patent number: 11930387
Abstract: A method for filtering vehicle-to-X messages, having the following steps: receiving a number of vehicle-to-X messages and adapting a filter parameter for filtering the received vehicle-to-X messages in such a manner that a number of vehicle-to-X messages to be discarded leaves a number of vehicle-to-X messages to be processed from the number of received vehicle-to-X messages. The adaptation is carried out on the basis of a correction value for describing a deviation of the number of vehicle-to-X messages to be processed in a specified duration from a number of vehicle-to-X messages provided for processing in the specified duration. Also disclosed are a corresponding vehicle-to-X communication device and to a computer-readable storage medium.

  • Patent number: 11917409
Abstract: A vehicle-to-X communication apparatus including: a reception device to receive a vehicle-to-X message; a first electronic computation device to calculate a hash value for a received vehicle-to-X message; and a second electronic computation device to generate a new vehicle-to-X message using data included in the received vehicle-to-X message and to calculate a hash value for the generated vehicle-to-X message. The first electronic computation device is designed in accordance with a higher safety integrity level than the second electronic computation device, and a comparison device to make a comparison between the hash value for the received vehicle-to-X message and the hash value for the generated vehicle-to-X message. The vehicle-to-X communication apparatus further processes the data from the received vehicle-to-X message depending on a result of the comparison. Also disclosed are a corresponding method and the use of the apparatus in a vehicle or an infrastructure device.

  • Patent number: 11880258
Abstract: A method for reducing processing power of a data processing hardware executing one or more applications is provided. The method includes receiving communication messages and identifying a first application outputting a first message based on at least one communication message. The first application is associated with a first priority value. The method includes determining a group of high-priority applications where each application has a priority value being higher than or equal to the first priority value and determining a group of low-priority applications where each application has a priority value being lower than the first priority value. The method includes discarding one or more communication messages that are not relied on by the group of high-priority applications for a predefined period of time. The method may also include sending, to the group of low-priority applications, instructions causing the one or more applications of the low-priority group to stop executing.
