Patent number: 5241875Abstract: A robot system with robot specific effects. Reconstructable for other fields of activities with few manipulations by the users themselfs. This objective is achieved in accordance with the present invention by standard robot-block parts of nearly the similar design for the installation of multiblock-robots with self operating walk, drive and manipulation faculties, with horizontally and vertically fitting, rotation flange plug connections, with turntables and driving motors and with current and communication channels which are leading through the center of the rotation plug connections and which provide current and communication supply lines and current and communication control lines. These lines are leaded to inside and outside slip-ring and induction units and to equipment components, composed of accumulators, sensors and electronic boards inside the block chamber.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1991Date of Patent: September 7, 1993Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck

Patent number: 4252488Abstract: An article storage and retrieval system has a plurality of annular and generally concentric tracks of any desired shape each carrying a train of holder frames each having a pair of ends spaced apart by a gap. Each train has at each of the holder frames a pivot connecting each frame to the adjacent frames for relative pivoting of the frames and adaptation of the train to any shape track. A set of vertically spaced holders is removably supported in each of the holder frames so that when the gaps thereof are aligned in a service aisle it is possible to obtain access to any of the holders.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1977Date of Patent: February 24, 1981Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck
-
Patent number: 4232988Abstract: Concentric annular tracks support for rotary movement a set of storage trains in the form of concentric cylindrical shelves. Each train has a vertically directed discontinuity and is driven by a separate driving unit so that the discontinuities can be aligned to form a radially directed access aisle. A stationary control member controls the driving units of the trains. In a modification, stationary storage shelves surround the trains and are equipped with conveyor for moving respective holders in vertical direction and along the circumference of each train and also radially from one train to another. Also, an elevator is provided for operation in the aisle.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1978Date of Patent: November 11, 1980Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck

Patent number: 4108322Abstract: An automated multistory garage is provided with a vehicle-repairshop and/or with a vehicle-sales showroom, superposed as circular arrays of vehicle-holding slots for the repairing, storing, showing, and parking of vehicles. In addition space is provided for offices and restaurants. Cars to be repaired are automatically conveyed by automated loading machines to the parking slots of the repair floor which are each provided with lift platforms and which are separated from each other by triangular region wherein the vehicle repair tools are provided and to which car spare parts can be fed automatically from an overlying warehouse floor by means of an electrical circular conveyor working vertically. In addition a passenger lift connects the control the center in the multistory garage with the various floors so that the working of the arrangement can be controlled from this control center.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1976Date of Patent: August 22, 1978Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck

Patent number: 4079847Abstract: An apparatus for lifting a motor vehicle has a horizontally displaceable support frame on which is mounted a plurality of horizontal arms pivotal on the frame about respective upright axis and each having one horizontally extending upwardly concave part-cylindrical surface shaped to fit against the respective wheel of a motor vehicle positioned adjacent the frame. A drive motor is provided on the frame for pivoting the arms about their respective axes and thereby bringing the surfaces into and out of engagement with the respective vehicle wheels. A deflectable switching rod is mounted on each arm and operates a switch so that when one or two or more arms are tightly engaged against the respective wheels, the drive is shut off so that the frame may be lifted to carry away the entire motor vehicle. Such an arrangement is useable in an automatic car-parking garage.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1976Date of Patent: March 21, 1978Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck

Patent number: 4039089Abstract: An automatic high garage with a plurality of parking levels and parking spaces arranged in a circle. Within the enclosed circle are one or more automated car parking machines carrying out the parking operations. The parking spaces are constructed as pairs of outward-sloping tracks. The tracks transfer their total loads to triangularly-positioned vertical supports. A vertical column erected in the center of the high garage serves as central supporting element for the roof construction as well as for guiding the parking machines. The cars to be parked are conveyed manually and taken over by an automatic retrieval unit running under the cars.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1976Date of Patent: August 2, 1977Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck

Patent number: 3978991Abstract: A storage installation comprising a plurality of automatic pick-up devices for article picking operations. The automatic pick-up device having a frame cross beam with mounted gripping mechanisms on the bottom side depending in construction on the articles to be picked up. The automatic pick-up device is moved by means of automatic load gripping devices within a load area of a storage installation. Four horizontally extendable locking arms are mounted on the frame cross beam of the automatic pick-up device. For an operation cycle of the load gripping device with pick-up device, the telescopable elements of the load gripping device effect an activator circuit for extension of the locking arms which then engage in locking counterparts mounted on the telescopable elements. After this, the load gripping device moves with suspended pick-up device to table rollers or empty pallets within the load area for article entrance and exit operation.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1974Date of Patent: September 7, 1976Inventor: Uwe Kochanneck
