    Abstract: A patch panel for optical fibers includes a tray for supporting coiled portions of the fibers, a plurality of transversely spaced apart tabs, spaced backwardly from the front end of the tray and extending perpendicularly upwardly from the tray and a plurality of modular connector assemblies each slidably mounted on said tray between respective pairs of adjacent tabs. The modular connector assemblies each include a modular connector yoke for mounting optical fiber connectors on the tray. The tray includes tracks for slidably mounting the tray in a rack.

    Abstract: An electrical connector primarily designed for use in telecommunications and other applications where quick and reliable wire connections in great magnitude are required is disclosed. The connector has a elongated cylindrical shape with an insulation displacement slot running parallel to its longitudinal axis. It is surrounded by and mounted in a sheltering insulating housing. Adjacent the insulation displacement slot on opposite sides of the conductor are V-shaped or other shaped slots which in combination with the insulation displacement slot, form cantilever beams which act independently of the flexing of the cylinder itself. This creates a modified spring rate in the area where connecting wires are held after they are inserted longitudinally into the insulation displacement slot and moved to a final connection position.

    Abstract: A barrier block is disclosed which incorporates an electrical terminal in the form of a hollow cylindrical barrel provided with a longitudinal slot divided into one or more pairs of wire gripping jaws. The barrel is integral with a second electrical contact connected to the barrel by an integral loop serving as a sloped wire stop at the entry of said barrel. Each electrical terminal is mounted on a web which interconnects partition walls. One of the partition walls is provided with a hook and a latch. Another partition wall is provided with a hook receiving recess and a latch receiving recess allowing a plurality of barrier blocks to be hooked and latched together.

Each terminal has a wire terminating, slitted barrel portion to which wires are connected without a need for tools. The fuse and the terminals are enclosed within a two piece dielectric housing adjustable in length to accept a range of fuse lengths. Means are provided to prevent undesired loosening or opening of the housing.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to an insulation cover for a slotted barrel electrical terminal of the type mounted to a printed circuit board. The cover is molded of dielectric material in cylindrical form with an open end for receipt over a barrel terminal, and a closed end which is slotted to provide a seat against which an insertion tool is registered. A lengthwise slot of the cover receives one or more wires therein and grips across the cross section of each received wire to provide a strain relief. A projecting tab on the cover is utilized for gripping when removal of the cover from the terminal is required.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a metal plate terminal rolled into a barrel configuration having a longitudinal open seam defining a wire receiving slot. The terminal defines wire gripping jaws on either side of the seam. A transverse slot intersects the open seam dividing the jaws into two tandem pairs. An enlarged flared entryway is provided in the second pair of jaws for the open seam. The first set of jaws have tab portions projecting toward the second pair of jaws for guiding a wire along the open seam from the first set of jaws to the second. The transverse slot is of substantial width to prevent abrasion of the jaws with one another. The transverse slot further is of arcuate configuration, perpendicularly intersecting the open seam and incising one-fourth of a circumference of said barrel configuration on either side of said open seam.
