  • Patent number: 7905643
Abstract: The invention relates to a light comprising a carrier (3) which has at least one lighting means (4) and which is arranged behind a light pane (12). The aim of the invention is to form a light or a carrier which can be produced in a simple and economical manner and which can be mounted in a small space. The lighting means (4) are arranged on the carrier (3) in such a manner that they essentially correspond to the contour of the light pane (2) and the lighting means (4) is placed in a horizontal manner on one side of the carrier (3) so that the carrier (3) and the lighting means (4) require very little space. The carrier (3) and the light are used in motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 7645061
Abstract: The invention relates to a low beam headlight with at least one light module. The individual light module exhibits at least one light source and at least one primary lens connected downstream of the light source; and the light source is a luminescent diode. In addition, the low beam headlight has at least one secondary lens, which is connected optically downstream of the primary lens or the primary lenses. Both the primary and the secondary lens exhibit at least two lens segments, which are arranged one over the other. In addition, at least one lens segment of the primary lens and its assigned lens segment of the secondary lens lie outside the optical axis of the light module. The present invention develops a compact low beam headlight, whose light distribution has a clearly defined hot spot. The light intensity of the illumination decreases steadily in the direction of the basic distribution.

  • Publication number: 20070117248
Abstract: A method is disclosed for creating a light assembly including a light-emitting diode and a printed circuit board having conductors printed thereon. The method includes the steps of positioning the light-emitting diode on the printed circuit board. Once positioned, the light-emitting diode is connected to the printed circuit board. The light-emitted diode and the printed circuit board are positioned in a mold. A thermoplast is injected into the mold such that the thermoplast extends on both sides of the printed circuit board and over the light-emitting diode.
