Abstract: A bucket (10) for moving ground material, the bucket (10) comprising a handling section (12) with a mounting arrangement (64) for coupling to a machine, a load section (14) mounted on the handling section (12) such that the load section (14) is separable from the handling section (12) so that the load section (14) can be separated and replaced with another load section (14). The handling section (12) may include a mounting formation (46), and the load section (14) may include a further mounting formation (20) that is complementary to said mounting formation (46) and the mounting formation (46) is configured to receive the further mounting formation (20) therein and the mounting (20) and complementary mounting formations (46) have surfaces that are in abutment.

Abstract: A bucket for moving ground material is disclosed comprising a handling section that is connected to a separate load carrying section to form a fixed body. The handling and load carrying sections define a load carrying space and forming a fixed open mouth through which material is received into and discharged from the load carrying space. The handling section includes an upper wall that extends in a direction away from a front end adjacent the open mouth to a rear end. The load carrying section includes a base wall and two side walls projecting up from each side of the base wall. The bucket includes a fastening arrangement fastening the handling section to the load carrying section. A method of changing the load carrying volume of a bucket and refurbishing a bucket by swapping out the load carrying sections is also disclosed.

Abstract: A bucket for use on a loader is disclosed including a main wall which transitions from a lower main wall portion into an upper main wall portion. It includes two side walls extending between the lower main wall portion and the upper main wall portion. The main wall and the side walls define an interior space and an open mouth at a front end of the bucket. The lower portion of the main wall, the upper portion of the main wall and the side walls may be engineered to provide a suitable structural strength and wear resistance by selection of an appropriate thickness and hardness of steel for each of the walls and portions of the walls. A loader including the bucket is also disclosed.

Abstract: A truck body is disclosed which is able to be mounted to a truck in such a way that the truck body can pivot relative to the truck between a lowered, travel orientation and a raised, dumping orientation. The truck body has a material carrying region, and the material carrying region has: a floor surface, and a curved transition (“the floor-to-front-wall-transition”) between the floor surface and a surface forming a front wall portion of the material carrying region. The radius of curvature of at least a portion of the floor-to-front-wall-transition is two meters or greater, which may help to reduce material carry-back.
