    Abstract: A system for extracting bitumen from oil sands includes an extractor tank having a reaction chamber. An input port is provided at the upper end of the extractor tank for the purpose of introducing oil sand into the reaction chamber. A liquid extractant is heated and then pumped, under pressure, into the reaction chamber through a plurality of jet inlets to suspend the oil sand in the extractant, as a fluidized bed inside the reaction chamber. After reactions, an extract that contains both extractant (solvent) and bitumen, is separated from the sand. A vibratory centrifuge is connected to an outflow port of the extractor tank to receive the sand and remove any residual extractant from the sand. An evaporator and distillation column are provided to remove the extract from the reaction chamber and separate the extractant from the bitumen.

    Abstract: An anti-fungal composition is disclosed and has enhanced microbiocidal activities for killing or inhibiting growth of live mold cells and spores. Further, the composition stops the production of mycotoxins associated with molds. Included among the molds vulnerable to the composition are black mold, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Stachybotrys chartarum, cladosporium species, fusarium species, and penicillium species In the composition, naturally-occurring compounds selected from the phenylpropanoid family and synthetic derivatives of compounds selected from the phenylpropanoid family are active against the live cells, spores, and mycotoxins. Further, the composition includes D-isomers of naturally-occurring aromatic amino acids and synthetic derivatives of D-isomers of naturally-occurring aromatic amino acids in order to kill and inhibit growth of the live cells, spores, and mycotoxins.

The composition may include a polyunsaturated aliphatic or alicyclic compound having at least three, but no more than six, double bonds to improve the combustion process by acting as pseudo-catalyst in the combustion reaction. The composition may further include a derivative of dihydrobenzo-gamma-pyrane to improve the combustion process by acting as pseudo-catalyst in the combustion reaction. The composition may further include surfactants such as polyethylene glycol and/or one or more polyoxyalkene derivatives of either polypropylene glycol, polyethylene glycol or sorbitol. A media of fatty acid esters is provided to dilute the combustion promoters, surfactants and other ingredients allowing accurate concentrations of these ingredients to be introduced into the fuel chamber.
