Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing encoding or decoding of adaptive bitrate streams. In various embodiments, one or more first computing systems may divide a live media content stream into one or more segments, each segment might include a starting segment boundary and an ending segment boundary. The one or more first computing systems might encode the one or more segments into one or more primary adaptive bitrate streams. The one or more first computing systems might also divide the one or more segments of the live media content stream into one or more subsegments. Each subsegment might be less than a length of a corresponding segment of the one or more segments. The one or more first computing systems might the encode and/or a second computing system might decode the one or more subsegments into or from one or more secondary adaptive bitrate streams.

Abstract: A valve for a liquid chromatography system comprises a stator; a rotor that rotates about a vertical axis relative to the stator, the rotor comprising a rotor body and a rotary shaft interface, the rotary shaft interface comprising a cavity along the vertical axis and an indentation at a bottom region of the cavity along the vertical axis; a platen in communication with a bottom surface of the rotor body, the platen having a conical feature along the vertical axis; and a ball bearing having a top portion positioned in the conical feature of the platen and a bottom portion positioned in the indentation of the rotary shaft interface allowing for pivoting of the platen relative to the vertical axis and for aligning a top surface of the rotor body to be parallel with a surface of the stator.

The present invention includes a panel box having four side walls and a rear wall forming an interior volume operable to receive conventional electrical components therein. The electrical panel of the present invention includes an arc prevention member operably coupled to the side wall. The arc prevention member includes an upper portion and a lower portion contiguously formed. The upper portion is formed from a first segment and second segment having a void therebetween that is configured to couple to an edge of the side wall. The lower portion is integrally formed with the upper portion and extends outward therefrom into the interior volume of the panel box. The lower portion is arcuate in form.

The sole structure including a bladder having a chamber including an arcuate segment extending around the heel region, a first segment extending along the peripheral region on a medial side of the sole structure from the arcuate segment to a first terminal end in the forefoot region, and a second segment spaced apart from the first segment across a width of the sole structure and extending along the peripheral region on a lateral side of the sole structure from the arcuate segment to a second terminal end in the forefoot region. A peripheral outsole extends along the chamber and a first cushion is disposed between the first segment and the second segment and is exposed through an opening of the peripheral outsole.

Abstract: A dynamic compression implant may be insertable into a bone, and may have a distal member with distal bone-engaging threads, a proximal member that slidably engages the distal member, and a tension member with a proximal end coupled to the proximal member, and a distal end coupled to the distal member such that, in response to motion of the distal member distally away from the proximal member, the tension member elongates and urges the distal member to move proximally toward the proximal member. The bone screw may further have an interpositional member, formed separately from the proximal member and the distal member, that cooperates with the proximal member and the distal member to form a torque transmission feature that transmits torque between the proximal member and the distal member. The dynamic compression implant may be a bone screw, intramedullary implant, or other implant that applies compression across two bone portions.

Abstract: A remote control device is provided that is configured for use in a load control system that includes one or more electrical loads. The remote control device includes a mounting structure and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to be attached to the mounting structure in a plurality of different orientations. The control unit includes a user interface, an orientation sensing circuit, and a communication circuit. The control unit is configured to determine an orientation of the control unit via the orientation sensing circuit. The control unit is also configured to translate a user input from the user interface into control data to control an electrical load of the load control system based on the orientation of the control unit and/or provide a visual indication of an amount of power delivered to the electrical load based on the orientation of the control unit.

Abstract: An integrated bioreactor and reseeding chamber system and a separate bioreactor and complimentary reseeding chamber system comprising a bioreactor and a separate reseeding chamber. The bioreactor comprises a bioreactor chamber; a first groove attached to the bioreactor chamber; a second groove removably attached to the bioreactor chamber. A first bar and a second bar may be removably inserted into the first groove and the second groove respectively. Each of the first bar and the second bar may have at least an oval hole. At least a crossbar is attached substantially perpendicularly to the first bar and the second bar to form a crossbar-bars construct through the oval holes. A knob may be installed on each of the crossbars. The reseeding chamber may comprise dividers fixedly attached to a bottom of the reseeding chamber.
