  • Publication number: 20230213185
Abstract: A combustion system comprising a burner for supplying a mixed flow of fuel and primary air or gas through at least one fuel nozzle to a combustion chamber, a duct in fluid communication with the at least one fuel nozzle for guiding the mixed flow to the at least one fuel nozzle, and a deflector device positioned within the duct upstream of the at least one fuel nozzle to deflect the incoming mixed flow. The deflector device comprises ejection means arranged to eject an auxiliary gas into the duct to deflect the incoming mixed flow in a direction from a center to outer areas of the duct to increase the concentration of the mixed flow in outer areas of the fuel nozzle and decrease the concentration of the mixed flow in the center section of the fuel nozzle.
