  • Publication number: 20160047494
Abstract: A magnetic cable fastener includes a magnetic fastener, a boss, a base, and a loop coupler attached to the base. The loop coupler is attached to the base and is operable to attach to another structure. The loop coupler may be a cable, wires, electrical conduit, rope, adjustable strap, and a tie wrap or suitable object. According to one embodiment, the loop coupler may further include at least two fingers. The fingers are operative to flex or compress appropriately to permit the cables to enter the fingers. According to another embodiment, the loop coupler is a solid loop to permit for example, a cable strap to be inserted and attach the cable strap to the loop coupler. Thus, the magnetic cable fastener may secure one or more cables via the loop fingers or solid loop or other suitable cable coupler.

  • Publication number: 20150251624
Abstract: A tether fastening device for an automobile body structure includes a fastener clip, at least one tether strap, a tether clip bracket, a clip strap coupler, and a bracket strap coupler. The clip strap coupler operably couples to a slot in the automobile chassis. The tether clip bracket attaches to the fastener clip when in an attached position. The bracket strap coupler is attached to the body panel. The tether strap allows for controlled detachment between the clip strap coupler and the bracket strap coupler. The strap may include a mesh to absorb the deployment energy and decelerate the body panel in a controlled manner. In the event of an airbag activation, the tether clip bracket and the fastener clip initially accelerate and then decelerate from each other. • Patent number: 9064424
Abstract: An audiovisual recording of a user reading a book aloud is generated for playback with a virtual book. A book reading user interface presents a virtual book concurrently with a current image of the user. The virtual book may be presented based at least in part on an aspect ratio of the virtual book. As the user reads the virtual book aloud, an audiovisual recording of the user is generated. In addition, synchronization information is recorded that enables the audiovisual recording to be synchronized with the presentation of pages of the virtual book during playback. The generated audiovisual recording is stored in a database and may be played back to a recipient on demand.

  • Patent number: 8984840
Abstract: A method and system for covering industrial wood plank or wood block floors that can be installed quickly without creating a hazardous environment or hazardous wastes and without the necessity of removing installed equipment. Sand is swept over the wood to fill voids and cracks. Next metal lath is stapled to the wood. A first layer of epoxy is poured onto the metal lath. After this is cured, a second coat of finish epoxy can be installed on the first epoxy layer. When this dries, the job is done and operations can be restarted, or an optional topcoat can be applied. The epoxy material used can be self-leveling for ease of application and the final floor is approximately level. The finished floor is flexible to not crack under heavy loads and to absorb shock.

  • Publication number: 20140263895
Abstract: A magnetic bracket includes a base and at least two posts at opposite ends of the base. The posts bend upwards from the base such that at least two clips are operable to attach at the posts at opposite ends of the base. The posts have a notch between the base and ends of the posts to permit the clips to hook onto the posts. The magnetic bracket may be clipped into a vehicle chassis by removably inserting the clips into a slot of the vehicle chassis. A body panel such as a headliner having a magnetic fastener attached to the body panel may then be magnetically self-aligned and removably attached to the base having a magnetic portion. The magnetic fastener is operable to be removably attached to the magnetic portion. The magnetic bracket is attached to a non-magnetic part of a vehicle chassis.
