  • Publication number: 20060129435
Abstract: A system and method for receiving health data from a community of independent sources of health data related to one or more patients, the health data being selected from the set including oral data, written data and/or electronic data; formatting the health data to enable creation of a universal patient record for each of the one or more patients by tagging of the health data to enable extraction of pertinent portions of the health data for coding of health encounters with the one or more patients; and enabling controlled access to the formatted health data via a network connecting the community of independent sources of health data, the network including at least one central server including a central database storing the formatted health data and at least two on-site servers, each on-site server located at one of the independent sources of health data and each on-site server configured to hold a database replicated from the central database.

  • Patent number: 7032969
Abstract: A booster seat having seat back carried by a seat bottom. The seat back includes first and second frame members mounted for slidable movement relative to each other. A flexible band interconnects the first and second frame members wherein relative movement between the first and second frame members causes movement of the band relative to the second frame member. A lock is provided for being carried by one of the first or second frame members for engaging cooperation with the band. The lock is reciprocable between a locked position wherein the lock locks the band against movement, and an unlocked position wherein the lock releases the band and allows movement of the second frame member relative to the first frame member, thereby adjusting the height of the seat back.

  • Patent number: 7021414
Abstract: A birdcage assembly for a high performance vehicle includes a birdcage having an opening defined by an inner periphery. The birdcage is secured to a rear suspension of the vehicle and is maintained in a substantially vertical position. The opening is intended to receive a vehicle axle therethough. The opening has a bearing located therein, which includes an inner race, an outer race, and a plurality of rollers disposed between the inner race and the outer race. The inner race of the bearing is in communication and rotates with the vehicle rear axle. Further, the bearing is moveable with respect to the birdcage such that as the axle deviates from an orientation parallel to ground, the bearing can move with respect to the birdcage away from a vertical position. The floating aspect of the bearing with respect to the birdcage minimizes side loads on the birdcage are thus prolongs the life of the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6839850
Abstract: Disclosed is a Security Indications and Warning (SI&W) Engine usable in conjunction with an audit agent. The audit agent forwards normalized audits to the SI&W Engine. The SI&W Engine groups the normalized audits into related groupings. Gauges are used to count the number of occurrences of audited events. A statistical engine provides statistical representations of the number of events per user, per session and per node. A predetermined number of criteria are defined a particular gauge or gauge pair. There may be many criteria for a particular network. When a predetermined number of criteria within a criteria set are triggered, an indicator is triggered. More complex indicators can use combinations of lower level indicators to provide further indications of potential security threads. Thus, a hierarchical system of gauges, criteria and indicators is used to measure boundary violations and breaches of different barriers.

  • Patent number: 4665920
Abstract: A skeletal tissue stimulator and especially a bone growth stimulator 10 and a circuit 12 adapted to be coupled to the skeletal tissue in a body, and especially bone tissue in the body, whose growth is to be stimulated, which tissue acts as a load 22 for the circuit 12. The circuit 12 has a battery 24 and an oscillator circuit 26 which is adapted to be coupled to the load 22. The oscillator circuit 26 is coupled to a storage device 28 which is charged from the battery 24 and discharged through the load 22. The storage device 28 controls the state of the oscillator circuit 26 which in turn controls current flow from the battery 24 directly through load 22. The bone growth stimulator 10 and circuit 12 are characterized in that all the current provided by the battery 24 must flow through the load 22, either directly from the oscillator circuit 26 or as a result of discharge from the storage device 28.
