  • Publication number: 20170217366
Abstract: An interior component for a vehicle is disclosed. The interior component may be configured to include portions facing the passenger compartment of the vehicle that can be illuminated by a light source providing light. The interior component may comprise a panel having a first side facing the passenger compartment, and a fabric having optical fibers wrapped around an edge of the panel and along at least part of the first side. The optical fibers may be coupled to the light source and configured to transmit light through the fabric. The fabric may be configured to transmit the light by total internal reflection. The fabric may be configured illuminated portions on the first side of the panel where total internal reflection is prevented to allow the light to be emitted only at the illuminated portions. The fabric may be configured with different designs, patterns or shapes corresponding to the illuminated portions.

  • Patent number: 7262519
Abstract: In order to provide a bearing for an already prepositioned switching shaft, fitted with coupling levers, of a low-voltage circuit breaker in the region where the switching forces act, a bearing assembly is provided. The bearing assembly includes a bearing body which is mounted on the housing front wall of the switch pole, surrounding the switching shaft in the form of a half shell. The bearing body includes a subregion which projects between two coupling levers, which are at a distance from one another and are connected to a movable switching contact. It thus forms side guide surfaces for the coupling levers. Such a bearing assembly can be arranged in both the end regions of the switching shaft in multipole circuit breakers.

  • Patent number: 7061143
Abstract: An actuator unit includes a base actuator and an additional actuator, via which a useful circuit can be opened and closed. Given proper functioning, the base actuator can be activated by supplying electric energy and deactivated by not supplying electric energy. The additional actuator can be deactivated by supplying electric energy and can be activated via manual operation. A control unit deactivates the additional actuator only when an actual activation state of the base actuator differs from a desired activation state of the base actuator.

  • Patent number: 7039947
Abstract: Data transfer between a secure computer and a number of input/output units occurs via a bus control unit connected to the secure computer and a serial bus system. The bus control unit cyclically activates the input/output units connected to the bus system and transfers multi-bit message to the respective activated input/output unit. In order to produce a data transfer method which enables security/related signals to be transmitted via a non-error-protected bus system, at least one of the input/output units is designed as a security unit. Further, the multi-bit message transferred to the security unit has at least one checkbit. The security unit interprets the transferred multi-bit message as correct only if the checkbit alternates within a predefined monitoring period.

  • Patent number: 6870723
Abstract: An arrangement includes two series-connected switching contacts in two contactors. The tripping signal thereof is generated with a variable time offset so that the number of disconnection processes and connection processes, which are carried out first in time, are virtually the same during lengthy use.

  • Patent number: 6792401
Abstract: An Internet-based optical imaging system to gather anthropometric data for the purpose of enabling national and international commerce in the wearable goods market, including accurate measurement for selecting, fitting, and ordering eyeglasses and eyeglass frames via the Internet that includes vendor support interaction. A customer can view and orient his or her real-time image, wear a sales item on a virtual personal model, and order selected sales item via the Internet access. The customer's 2-D photoimagery/textured 3-D model and logistics data are acquired at a modeling kiosk that, for eyeglasses, includes specific vendor specification items, pupilary, bridge, and temple distances necessary for a specific customer. Internet data paths from the modeling kiosk node to vendor nodes, such as point-of-sale and manufacturers, and the customer's home computer, can-be provided.

  • Patent number: 5581271
Abstract: A head mounted visual display for simulation and training that provides to a user a high quality real time video image and a see-through view of the surrounding real world when the video image is off. The display system provides a CRT collimated visual image of high resolution and image quality that has high light transmissivity, anti-luning, and a wide-angle view. The CRT has a fibre optic face plate to reduce CRT mapping distortions.

  • Patent number: 4965753
Abstract: A three-dimensional image processing system which reconstructs real-time display images from scene photographs. The system permits real-time projection of multiple, digitized, photographic databases into the eye space of an unconstrained observer. From the photographic databases, the system forms a composite output image as well as line-of-sight range overlay which permits easy expansion into a multi-channel architecture and to provide line-of-sight range envelope around the observer. The system allows for arbitrary insertion of three-dimensional, independently moving, opaque or partially transparent objects.
