    Abstract: A turbine rotor blade including an airfoil, tip shroud, and fillet formed therebetween. The fillet defines a fillet profile variable about the intersection for connecting the tip shroud and airfoil and facilitating aerodynamic airflow. The fillet includes a pressure side fillet. The pressure side fillet comprises a pressure side fillet profile per points within a first set of points of X, Y and Z coordinate values in a Cartesian coordinate system, as set forth in Table I, where X, Y and Z are distances in inches from an origin and, when the points are connected by smooth, continuing arcs, the points define the pressure side fillet profile of the pressure side fillet. The first set of points includes points between and including point 1 and point 50 of each reference plane between and including a reference plane H and a reference plane W, as set forth in Table I.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compositions that can be used for optical fibers and other systems that transmit light in the near-, mid- and/or far-ranges of the infrared spectrum, such as for example in the wavelength range of 1.5 ?m to 14 ?m. The optical fibers may comprise a light-transmitting chalcogenide core composition and a cladding composition. In some embodiments, the light-transmitting chalcogenide core composition has a refractive index n(core) and a coefficient of thermal expansion CTE(core), and the cladding composition has a refractive index n(cladding) and a coefficient of thermal expansion CTE(cladding), wherein n(cladding) is less than n(core) and in some embodiments wherein CTE(cladding) is less than CTE(core). In some embodiments, the chalcogenide glass core composition comprises a) sulfur and/or selenium, b) germanium, and c) gallium, indium, tin and/or one or more metal halides.

    Abstract: Implantable stents that include strips that are each comprised of main struts connected by first connectors, and adjacent strips are connected by second connectors. The strut connectors have a structure, including areas of expanded or reduced width or thickness, to account for venous applications. When used for venous applications, the stents convey benefit from configurations that improve flexibility (due to the greater elasticity of venous applications) while maintaining enough stiffness to resist pressure on the venous structure in selected areas (such as for the May-Thurner syndrome). The stents include particular structural characteristics that are particularly advantageous for (although not limited to) venous applications.
