Abstract: Techniques for testing may include: receiving a first command at a framework, wherein the first command includes first information identifying a first test to be executed and a first collector that collects data during execution of the first test; and responsive to receiving the first command, perform processing to execute the first command, wherein the processing is coordinated by the framework and wherein the processing includes: executing the first test; collecting test data, wherein the test data is collected by the first collector during execution of the first test; and generating a report regarding the test data collected while executing the first test.

Abstract: There is provided a method of reducing traffic on a data network. The method includes (i) reading an indicator of whether a last attempted communication with a network device was successful, and (ii) performing discovery of the network device at each time specified by a first schedule in response to the indicator indicating that the last attempted communication with the network device was successful, and at each time specified by a second schedule in response to the indicator indicating that the last attempted communication with the network device was not successful. There is also provided a system that performs the method, and a storage device that contains a program that controls a processor to perform the method.

Abstract: There is provided a method that includes (a) accessing a data structure that (i) represents a plurality of nodes in an electrical power grid, and (ii) contains data indicative of an event reported by a node in the plurality of nodes, and (b) presenting, on a user interface, an element that represents the plurality of nodes, in aggregate, and indicates an existence of the event. There is also provided a system that performs the method, and a storage medium that contains instructions that cause a processor to execute the method.

Abstract: An approach to identifying and measuring adherence to software development requirements is presented. A software agent provides a user with product and technical questions. In turn, the user provides product and technical answers, or attributes, which are stored in a repository. A globalization plan generator uses the product and technical attributes to generate a software development plan. In addition, a globalization verification test generator uses the globalization plan to generate a test plan and measure the success of the software product based upon the test plan.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for testing software. A set of questions regarding the application is presented, wherein the set of questions are selected from a database. In response to receiving a user input to the set of questions, the application is tested to form identified testing. In response to identifying testing, a testing report is generated using the identified testing, wherein the testing report includes links to testing instructions for the identified testing for the application.

Abstract: An improved method, apparatus, and computer instructions for evaluating acquisition costs for a software product. A set of questions regarding the software product is presented. The set of questions are selected from a source. Costs for acquiring the software product are identified in response to receiving a user input to the set of questions. A report is generated using the costs, wherein the report is used to evaluate whether to acquire the software product in response to identifying the costs.
