Publication number: 20240060043Abstract: Fusion proteins, comprising at least one single chain antibody fragment (scFV), and a cancer antigen or marker, or a fragment thereof are provided. The scFV is capable of selectively binding to a cytokine released by chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) expressing cell such as interferon gamma (IFN-?) or tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-?). The cancer antigen or marker may comprise the extracellular domain of CD19. Methods for isolating or purifying CAR expressing cells using fusion proteins are provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2023Publication date: February 22, 2024Applicants: Villanova University, Lankenau Institute for Medical ResearchInventors: William Joseph Kelly, III, Justin Thomas Fisher, Scott Kendall Dessain

Patent number: 11647842Abstract: A wall bed is configured to allow a user to maximize a living space with a functional bed that can transform from daytime use to nighttime use. The wall bed is configured to function and serve a plurality of purposes as an entertainment center, a bedroom, or an office and is easily operable between these purposes with simple movements. The wall bed system comprises of a fireplace that has an embedded television which can function both as a television and be used to simulate an active fire via an external source connected to the television. Additionally, the fireplace feature may be removed with ease and transferred to another part of the room. The wall bed also comprises of an adjustable workstation where a height of the workstation may be adjusted to suit a user to work either standing up or sitting down. The wall bed also comprises of a bed and other fixtures such as and not limited to a mirror and an artwork.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2021Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Inventor: William Joseph Kelly

Publication number: 20090173250Abstract: A system is disclosed for defeating enemy missiles and rockets, particularly rocket propelled grenades (RPG's). The first step is to identify the firing of a missile by the use of sensors that give the approximate distance and bearing of the incoming missile. A non-lethal cloud of pellets is then launched from the target, which can be a building or vehicle or the like, in the general direction of the missile. The pellets are housed in a series of warhead containers mounted at locations on the target in various orientations. The warheads are triggered to fire a low velocity cloud of pellets toward the incoming missile. The pellets then collide with the missile a certain distance away from the target causing premature detonation of the missile, and/or possible severe damage to the missile, and/or deflection of the missile, due to the relatively high velocity of the missile.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2008Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS INC.Inventors: William Donnelly Marscher, William Joseph Kelly, Paul James Guthrie, Joseph John DeLorenzo, George DeMassi

Patent number: 7483511Abstract: A method of determining a presence of items of interest within a cargo container is disclosed. The method includes obtaining information from an initial radiation scan of at least one of the cargo container and contents therein, identifying a target portion of the cargo container in response to the information obtained, transmitting a target radiation beam along the target portion of the cargo container, and detecting radiation received in response to the transmitting. The method further includes analyzing the detected radiation for a presence of items of interest, and in response to the analyzing, generating a first signal indicative of the presence of the items of interest, or generating a second signal indicative of an absence of the items of interest.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2007Date of Patent: January 27, 2009Assignee: GE Homeland Protection, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Bendahan, William Joseph Kelly, Forrest Frank Hopkins
