Abstract: Example embodiments involve a metrics collection system for collecting software usage metrics from one or more client devices at deployments. A computer, such as a server configured to execute the metrics collection system, collects software usage metrics (e.g., as a metrics submission from a client device) of the software product at the deployment, identifies a metrics type of the software usage metrics collected, assigns the software usage metrics to a metrics category, and calculates and updates a metrics score of the metrics category, based on the software usage metrics collected.

Abstract: A hand-operated document processor includes a base for receiving a document containing magnetic ink character data to be read and recognized, and a manually operated moving magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) subsystem. The subsystem includes a MICR read head. Movement of the subsystem causes the MICR read head to pass over the magnetic ink character data on the document. The base further includes a series of embedded markers that may be magnetic or optical. A speed sensing sensor is positioned such that the speed sensing sensor passes over the series of markers as the MICR read head passes over the magnetic ink character data on the document. MICR reading and recognition logic receives the signal from the MICR read head and the signal from the speed sensing sensor to provide position feedback information to the logic for use during character data recognition.

Abstract: A mount system is described. An exemplary embodiment is a device that provides rotary damping to a mounted device, e.g. a camera system, when mounted to a moving arm. As the arm changes attitude, the mount system allows dampened rotary movement of the mounted device about an axis, due to gravity forces.

Abstract: There is disclosed methods of creating a presentation of and presenting the abilities of and requirements of a person. A method may include capturing a subject video sequence of a subject person and editing it. An observer video sequence may be captured and edited. A text portion concerning the subject person may be prepared. A subject summary screen that includes links to the edited subject video sequence, the edited observer video sequence, and the text portions may be created. A method may include presenting an opening screen having a plurality of hypertext links. A selected video item may be presented when a video item link is selected, and a selected text item may be presented when a text item link is selected. The selected text item may concern the subject person, and the selected video item may concern and show the subject person or another person.
