Patent number: 10086878Abstract: A hood guiding system for a work vehicle may include first and second walls positioned within an engine compartment of the work vehicle. The system may also include a hood configured to extend in a crosswise direction of the work vehicle between a first side and a second side so as to least partially cover the engine compartment. Additionally, the system may include a first guide component coupled to the hood at or adjacent to its first side and a second guide component coupled to the hood at or adjacent to its second side. When the hood is moved from an opened position to a closed position, the first and second guide components may be configured to contact outer surfaces of the first and second walls, respectively, to guide the hood towards the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2017Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Douglas L. Waco, William H. Adamson, Mark D. Klassen, William L. Schroeder

Patent number: 9681598Abstract: An agricultural planter has at least one wing section that can rotate forward to a transport configuration and can also rotate outward to a working configuration. The at least one wing section has a caster assembly attached to a strut pivotable between a raised position forward of the at least one wing section and a lowered position beneath the at least one wing section. At least one wing section lift cylinder is located above and horizontally rearward of the at least one wing section, and is connected to the at least one wing section using a rearward extending wing section lift cylinder mounting bracket. The at least one wing section lift cylinder is connected to at least one bell crank, which is connected to at least one drop link, which is connected to the strut.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2015Date of Patent: June 20, 2017Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Brian J. Anderson, William L. Schroeder, Marvin A. Prickel

Patent number: 9273648Abstract: An air intake system for a work vehicle may include a filter assembly having a pre-cleaner and an air filter. The filter assembly may define at least one outlet port. The air intake system may also include an air valve movable between an opened position and a closed position and a blower coupled to the outlet port via a conduit. The blower may be configured to create a vacuum within the conduit such that particulates are removed from the filter assembly through the outlet port. When the air valve is in the opened position, an airflow may be directed through the filter assembly in an intake direction from the pre-cleaner through the air filter and, when the air valve is in the closed position, the airflow may be directed through the air filter in a reverse direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2013Date of Patent: March 1, 2016Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: John F. Link, Lorenzo Gomez, Richard L. Schempp, William L. Schroeder, Thomas Chlystek

Patent number: 4398862Abstract: A pivot pin assembly for a bucket loader wherein a pivot pin having an enlarged tapered head passes through bushings in the loader boom arm to a distal end whereat an externally tapered thrust collar is slideably mounted thereon. An adjustment plug is threaded in the thrust collar and regulates the spacing between the collar and the pin end thereby setting the side clearance for the bushings. A pair of split wedge collars respectively lock the tapered pin head and the thrust collar in the bushing bracket apertures, the split collars being wedgingly locked by end plates bolted to the respective ends of the pin. Lip seals are provided between the boom arm and the pin head and the thrust collar and the boom arm and the pin is provided with an internal lubricant reservoir communicating with the boom arm bushings which may be easily refilled as necessary.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1982Date of Patent: August 16, 1983Assignee: Dresser Industries, Inc.Inventor: William L. Schroeder
