  • Patent number: 5239754
Abstract: A power take-off system for attachment to the elongated bar of a chain saw. A shaft is rotatably carried by a housing which is attached to the bar of the chain saw. A gear is carried on the shaft and is located in a transverse aperture in the bar such that the gear is driven by the nose sprocket in the bar. The housing serves as a guard over the chain on the bar also. The power take-off system may be provided as a self-contained integral unit which replaces the existing cutting bar on the chain saw.

  • Patent number: 5123630
Abstract: An improved portable winch is described including a reversing drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a drive bearing which is movable between two positions. In one position the bearing is able to transmit the rotational motion of the input shaft directly to an output shaft. In another position the bearing is able to reverse the rotational motion of the input shaft and transmit it to the output shaft to drive it in a direction opposite to the input shaft. The reversing drive mechanism enables the drum to be rotated in either direction, as desired.

  • Patent number: 5016486
Abstract: A reversing drive mechanism is described for use in a mechanical drive system. The reversing drive mechanism has utility in a variety of applications.

  • Patent number: 5002259
Abstract: A power winch is described which includes drive means with an output shaft, lock means to prevent reverse rotation of the shaft and a drum clutch assembly. The drum can be selectively engaged with or disengaged from the drum shaft. The lock means prevents the drum from rotating in reverse when it is engaged with the drum shaft. The power winch can be made compact and portable and can be powered by a small internal combustion engine.
