    Abstract: An equipment rack support and stabilization system configured to support electronic equipment and related accessories is disclosed. Such a system may include a plurality of retention brackets, each retention bracket having a first plate and a second plate extending from the first plate, the first plate having one or more openings formed therein. A plurality of channel spacers, each channel spacer having a lower tier, an upper tier, and a tier interconnect, the lower tier of the channel spacer being configured to connect and support the second plate of the retention bracket. A plurality of rack floor panels, each rack floor panel having a top, a bottom, and a plurality of retention slots, the top of each rack floor panel being configured to support the equipment rack, and the second plate of the retention bracket being configured to fit within a retention slot of the plurality of retention slots.

    Abstract: A vending machine includes a product compartment, a duct opening into the product compartment, and a self-contained refrigeration system. The refrigeration system includes a housing having a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber includes first and second openings. The second chamber includes third and fourth openings. An evaporator coil and evaporator fan are mounted in the first chamber. The evaporator fan moves air from the first opening, through the evaporator coil, to the second opening. A condensing coil, compressor, and compressor fan are mounted in the second chamber. The compressor fan moves air from the third opening, through the condensing coil, over the compressor, to the fourth opening. The housing thermally insulates the first chamber from both the second chamber and an exterior of the housing.

    Abstract: A method includes heating a housing of an electric machine to thermally expand the housing, positioning a mount having power and control electronics assembled thereon and in contact therewith in the housing and against an internal stop defined within the housing, and allowing the housing to cool and thermally contract against the mount thereby forming an interference fit between the housing and the mount. The interference fit secures the mount within the housing. The mount and the housing have coefficients of thermal expansion such that the interference fit is maintained across an operating temperature range of the machine. The electric machine may also include a segmented or non-segmented stator within the housing.

    Abstract: A rotor assembly for an electric machine includes a rotatable shaft, a rotor core coupled to the shaft for common rotation, and an impeller coupled to the shaft for common rotation. A bearing is coupled to the shaft generally between the rotor core and the impeller. The bearing can include an outer race sized smaller than an opening defined by the machine housing. The bearing can include steel rolling elements such as steel balls or generally cylindrical steel rollers. An adaptor sleeve can be disposed generally around the outer race. The adaptor sleeve can be disposed within the opening defined by the housing for securing the adaptor sleeve and the bearing within the opening defined by the housing.
