  • Patent number: 5146716
Abstract: The invention relates to a pliant particulate media method which utilizes providing an air source for supplying air pressure to a supply container, containing a quantity of pliant blasting media, and a discharge line. The container is connected with a mechanical feed device that positively meters out a desired quantity of blasting media into a discharge line which conveys the blasting media to a discharge nozzle where it is discharged against a surface to be treated to achieve the desired treatment. The invention additionally relates to a recovery method for separating the pliant blasting media from the debris and the other unwanted materials and a method for removing undesired liquids and chemicals from the pliant blasting media after use.

  • Patent number: 5134748
Abstract: A surface cleaning system which allows a sponge or other cleaning element to receive cleaning fluid transported by conduit from a pressurized cleaning fluid container and to apply the same to a surface to be cleaned. A vacuum source extracts the used cleaning fluid from the surface as the operator moves the cleaning element back and forth over the surface to be cleaned to remove the cleaning fluid and contaminants therefrom. The used cleaning fluid then travels by a conduit to a separation container where it is filtered and collected. The used cleaning fluid or fresh fluid can be pumped by a sump pump to a flush basin for rinsing or cleaning the cleaning element. The sump pump is controlled by a pressure valve located in the base of the flush basin. The complete system is typically operated on 115VAC and is portable by way of a push cart.

  • Patent number: 5080517
Abstract: A mop for removing waste liquid from a surface to be cleaned, the mop comprising a handle, a container means, for receiving liquid from the surface to be cleaned, being pivotable connected by a first pivot to one end of the handle, a first pad, having a cleaning surface, mounted on a first surface of the container, the cleaning surface being adapted for removing and retaining liquid from the surface to be cleaned upon contact therewith, the container being pivotable about the first pivot from a first stationary position, in which the first pad is located adjacent the surface to be cleaned, to a second stationary position, in which the first pad is located remote from the surface to be cleaned, for removal of liquid retained by the cleaning surface, and a wringing device, carried by the mop, for wringing waste liquid from the cleaning surface into the container when in the second position.

  • Patent number: 5012542
Abstract: A mopping system comprising a scoop pan with a two stage ramp for conveying liquid waste material to an open topped container and a mop support for releasably captively supporting a mop having a mop head, whereby the scoop pan can be manipulated by the mop. The ramp has two serially disposed ramps separated by a gully. The container may lead to a removable storage container or may be arranged to receive and support a liner into which the liquid or waste material passes from the ramp. The mop handle includes storage for liquid to be fed to a foam pad on the mop head.
