Abstract: A twist-off can end assembly includes a cylindrical can body having an open end with a rolled flange extending around an exterior surface of the can body at the open end and a shoulder portion joining the open end with side walls of the cylindrical can. A collar surrounds the exterior surface of the can adjacent the open end, the collar including a can mating finish of an inner surface thereof and a closure engaging finish on an outer surface thereof. The collar is seated against the exterior surface of the open end between the rolled flange and the shoulder portion of the can body. A cylindrical closure is provided having a dependent peripheral skirt for operatively engaging the closure engaging finish of the collar. A lid member is secured to the open end of the cylindrical can body by a lid engaging portion of the cylindrical closure.

Abstract: A round post-mix beverage dispenser includes a cylindrical carbonator, still water conduits for supplying water to be carbonated, and carbonated water output coils in the form of circular courses of tubing which surround the carbonator tank in a surrounding water bath. Syrup conduits are coiled in circular courses within the water bath. The round or cylindrical shape of the dispenser housing is adaptable to many different looks such as cans, bottles, glasses and cups. Preferably the basic cylindrical housing shape is made to look like a can of a beverage. Decorative sleeves which define or simulate the appearance of other types of containers such as bottles, cups and glasses can be easily added to the basic cylindrical housing, as desired, to provide different attractive appearances to promote sales.

The respective containers include compatible projection and socket configurations so that they may be joined together as building blocks in order to create the toy-like devices.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing container is disclosed including a collapsible housing, the collapsible housing having first and second opposing end walls and collapsible side walls connecting the opposing end walls. A flexible drinking tube is provided on the collapsible housing, the flexible drinking tube including a first end connected to the collapsible housing and in liquid communication with the interior of the container, a formed tube portion connected to the second opposing end wall of the container, and a second end opposite to the first end for dispensing the contents of the container. The second end of the flexible drinking tube is removably sealed, and the second end of the drinking tube is removably secured to either the formed tube portion or a recessed area within the second end wall of the collapsible housing.

Abstract: An inexpensive, light weight backpack beverage dispenser using standard two-liter bottles to hold the premix beverage. The bottles are connected to a two-port cap and are then connected in series with CO.sub.2 supplied to the inlet port of the first bottle and a dispensing hose and valve connected to the outlet port of the last bottle. The bottles, hoses and CO.sub.2 cylinder are contained in a light, insulated pack provided with a shoulder harness.

Abstract: A bag valve coupling member for a soft drink syrup bag-in-box container having a back-flow preventing one-way valve therein, preferably in addition to the standard self-sealing poppet valve that is biased closed and that is opened when a hose connector coupling member is attached to the bag valve coupling member. The one-way valve prevents back-filling (reuse) of the bag and syrup substitution.

Abstract: A bag valve and spout for a bag-in-box bag wherein the bag valve is all plastic and recyclable. The bag valve is caused to rotate inside of the spout as a result of the hose connector being a screw threadedly connected to and disconnected from the bag valve. In the open position, holes in the bag valve align with holes in the spout, and vice versa for the closed position.

Abstract: A post-mix beverage dispensing valve for dispensing syrup and soda in the desired ratio without the need for flow controls for periodic adjustment of the ratio. The valve includes a flow meter for measuring the flow rate of the soda and a pump for dispensing metered quantities of syrup. The pump preferably includes a chamber within a ceramic sleeve having first and second distal ends and a double-acting ceramic piston mounted for reciprocating sliding movement within the sleeve. A solenoid valve control system including a pair of solenoid valves controls syrup flow through the pump, in response to signals from the flow meter. The valve preferably also includes a syrup flow regulator. The valve can include a single externally manually adjustable flow rate control to vary the dispensing flow rate to any desired value.
