Patent number: 6858558Abstract: The invention relates to a catalyst component and a catalyst system for the preparation of high molecular weight ethylene or alpha-olefin homopolymers, ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymers, terpolymers or tetrapolymers, in a polymerization process, which is expediently effected in solution, at elevated temperature, preferably at least 80 DEG C. The catalyst system comprises a group 4-6 metal, preferably group 4 metal, a cyclic ligand (such as a cyclopentadienyl-type ligand), which forms a delocalized pi-bond with the metal M, a monohapto bonded 1,3-diaza-2-imino heterocyclic ligand (such as an iminoimidazolidine-type ligand) and anionic ligands and a catalyst activator coupound.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2002Date of Patent: February 22, 2005Assignee: Stichting Dutch Polymer InstituteInventor: Winfried Peter Kretschmer

Patent number: 6418389Abstract: Test system and test method for testing the operability of test samples (7). A selection can be made in a user-specific manner from a plurality of test modules (2a-2c) which are made available, which can be assembled together to a desired test specification. A control module (1) carries out the overall test corresponding to the user-specific test specification, and controls individual selected test modules (2a-2c) in the desired sequence in correspondence to this test specification. Advantageously, there is produced automatically a test report on the test results of the individual selected test modules (2a-2c), which reports in particular embedded in the user-specific test specification.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1999Date of Patent: July 9, 2002Assignee: Omicron Electronics GmbHInventors: Winfried Peter, Thomas Hensler

Patent number: 4745078Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for providing integrated series connections of a plurality of solar cells each of which includes a photovoltaic thin film on a common transparent substrate which involves depositing a strip pattern of a material which is readily removable from the photovoltaic thin film onto the film at intervals dependent on the size of the solar cells, the strips of the pattern being offset laterally relative to the front electrodes lying under the thin film and extending over the regions of the thin film which are not to be covered by the subsequently back electrodes. Separating grooves are then mechanically generated in the film adjacent the strips. An electrically conductive metal is deposited over the entire surface thus produced and finally the strip pattern is removed by lifting the pattern off the film, leaving gaps in the metallized layer forming the separated back electrodes of the solar cell.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1986Date of Patent: May 17, 1988Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Walter Stetter, Winfried Peters
