  • Patent number: 4567976
Abstract: A clutch release, in particular for an automobile clutch, comprising a sliding sleeve, a clutch release bearing, and a spring ring for enabling self-centering of the bearing. The thrust plate of the sliding sleeve is provided with a plurality of circumferentially distributed flexible projections of L-shaped profile which engage the contact flange of the nonrotating bearing ring such that the nonrotating bearing ring radially slidably abuts the thrust plate. The thrust plate is provided with throughholes arranged underneath the respective projections in order to facilitate the elastic yielding of the projections during the operation of snapping them on the contact flange. The flexible projections fix the axially position of the nonrotating bearing ring while allowing radial play.

  • Patent number: 4118656
Abstract: A first capacitor is coupled in parallel with a vertical deflection winding and the two are coupled to a source of horizontal rate energy by means which permit the capacitor to be charged with decreasing and increasing amounts of horizontal rate energy during respective first and second portions of each vertical deflection interval. The discharge of the first capacitor through the winding produces the vertical rate sawtooth scanning current therein. A second capacitor and impedance means coupled in circuit with the first capacitor are responsive to the horizontal rate energy to alter the shape of the generally sawtooth shaped horizontal rate voltage developed across the capacitors for producing a substantially symmetrical horizontal rate parabolic current component superimposed on the vertical rate sawtooth scanning current during each horizontal trace interval during the vertical trace interval for effecting north-south pincushion distortion correction current in the vertical winding.

  • Patent number: 4037137
Abstract: A centering circuit comprising a non-symmetrical conduction network and an integrating inductor in series combination is coupled to a deflection system between the junction of the S-shaping capacitor and the deflection windings and the junction of a winding of the high voltage transformer and its associated coupling capacitor, these junction points providing a relatively small but adequate voltage difference to energize the centering circuit with minimum deflection system power dissipation. The non-symmetrical conduction network comprises two oppositely poled diodes and a potentiometer. The adjustment of the potentiometer provides for a change of the magnitude and polarity of the average current flowing through the deflection winding during the trace interval.

  • Patent number: 4001607
Abstract: A drive circuit for a gated semiconductor device includes a switching device which provides first and second conduction states. The switching device is coupled to a source of direct current potential by means of a first inductor and coupled to the gate of the gated semiconductor device by means of a capacitor. A second inductor is coupled to the gate of the gated semiconductor device. Negative current is produced in the gate of the gated semiconductor device and energy is stored in first and second inductors during the first conduction state of the switching device. Positive current is produced in the gate of the gated semiconductor device during the second conduction state. The first and second inductors provide for enhancement of the positive gate current and also charging of the capacitor during the second conduction state.

  • Patent number: 3946274
Abstract: Horizontal rate energy obtained from a winding of the horizontal output transformer of a deflection system is rectified for providing operating current for the vertical deflection output stage. A variable impedance is in shunt with a coil which is in series with a rectifier coupled to the transformer winding. The impedance is controlled by a parabolic vertical rate waveform to alter the charging rate of a storage capacitor coupled to the rectifier for supplying the vertical operating current. The parabolically varying rectifier current alters the loading of the horizontal transformer and thereby alters the horizontal scanning current at a vertical rate in a manner to correct for side pincushion distortion.
