  • Patent number: 5327419
Abstract: Communication system having a multiprocessor system serving the purpose of central control. Multiprocessor systems are used in communication systems for the purpose of central control. Care must thereby be exercised to ensure that the jobs/messages arriving from a periphery according to the FIFO principle are in turn deposited in the original sequence after being handled by processes being executed on the processors. A coordination procedure required for this purpose thereby uses a holding table. The logical sequence of jobs/messages is thus assured during the processing in the multiprocessor system.

  • Patent number: 5247368
Abstract: Method for the transmission of a telefax message. The method is used for transmitting a telefax message from a telefax terminal equipment (TF) at a transmission side to a plurality of telefax terminal equipment (RF1 . . . RFn) at a reception side. The telephone numbers of the telefax terminal equipment (RF1 . . . RFn) are input into an operating unit (KB) of the telefax terminal equipment (TF) of the transmission side and are stored in a data area (COMFIL). Picture elements of the on original telefax message are converted into electrical picture signal elements and are intermediately stored in a further data area (NA) allocated to the first data area (COMFIL). A controller (CC) generates second image signal elements from every telephone number and converts these into, in particular, an original telefax message page format. The second and the first image signal elements are transmitted together to the telefax terminal equipment of the reception side identified by the telephone number.

  • Patent number: 4993017
Abstract: A modularly structured ISDN communication system has a system processor that is administered by a multi-tasking real-time operating system. Since this operating system can only assign system-internal function programs to the system processor (on-line system), a software application module having a time-sharing operating system is provided, so that the same processor can be administered by both operating systems. In order to effect this, one task of the real-time operating system is fashioned as a sluice sub-system SUB in which an allocation switch from the addressing tables of the real-time operating system onto those of the time-sharing operating system occurs. An interrupt transition routine that leads back into the sluice sub-system SUB in which the allocation switch is in turn cancelled is present in the time-sharing operating system for a processing of interrupt requests.
