Abstract: The power management apparatus provided in a vehicle includes: a switch 6 for bringing a state between the first and second electric power storage devices 1 and 2 into a non-conduction state during a normal operation and switching the state therebetween to a conduction state when a failure of the power converter 4 is detected; and a power management section 7 for controlling the motor-generator 3 so that a difference between voltages of the first and second electric power storage devices 1 and 2 is equal to or smaller than a predetermined voltage difference before the switch 6 is operated to perform switching from the non-conduction state to the conduction state.
Abstract: A cell flow synchronization establishing system of an ATM access system, capable of establishing synchronization of cell flow between a mobile station and base stations at the time of hand-off process, is provided. First buffer control unit is provided in the ATM switching station, and second buffer control unit is provided in the mobile station. The first buffer control unit reproduces cell stream to be transmitted by guaranteeing orderness of ATM cell between the first buffer control unit and the second buffer control unit and buffer clear processing is carried out based on predetermined synchronization establishment processing sequence before and after occurrence of handoff.
Abstract: A wireless asynchronous transfer mode communication system performs wireless communications in an asynchronous transfer mode between an access point connected to a network and at least one mobile terminal present in an area covered by the access point. If a received wireless ATM cell is a broadcast wireless ATM cell based on the header information in the received wireless ATM cell, then the mobile terminal compares the header information in the received wireless ATM cell and connection information registered in the mobile terminal itself. If there is agreeing connection information, then the mobile terminal discards the received wireless ATM cell. If there is no agreeing connection information, then the mobile terminal accepts the received wireless ATM cell.
Abstract: A wireless ATM communication system capable of improving a transmission efficiency of a radio section, in which the TDMA transmission system is employed, is realized. In a down like communication executed from a base station to terminal stations, an idle portion of data channel allocated to other user can be used when excess ATM cells are to be transmitted. The slot position information of data channel of other user, which can be used for excess ATM cells transfer of own data, is contained in the control channel and notified to the terminal station. The terminal station extracts data in the slot position of data channel of other user indicated by the control channel in addition to data extract from own data channel allocated at the time of connection establishment.
