  • Patent number: 11747762
Abstract: A glossiness detector includes a glossiness sensor, a glossiness corrector, and a reference plate. The glossiness corrector corrects glossiness detected by the glossiness sensor. The reference plate is used for correction processing of the glossiness sensor. Then, the glossiness corrector acquires a glossy reflection profile of the reference plate that has been detected in advance. The glossiness corrector corrects the glossiness according to the reference plate on the basis of the glossy reflection profile and a gloss distribution of the reference plate that has been detected by the glossiness sensor.

  • Patent number: 11516365
Abstract: Provided are an image forming apparatus and an inspection method of an image reading section capable of precisely detecting dirt that adheres to a dustproof glass. The image forming apparatus is provided with an image forming section, an image reading section, and a controlling section. The image reading section has a light source, a sensor, and a dustproof glass. At the time of the compensation processing operation of the image reading section, the controlling section detects dirt on the dustproof glass on the basis of a detection value acquired by the sensor when light is emitted from the light source onto a reflective member for compensation that specularly reflects the light.

  • Publication number: 20200076980
Abstract: Provided are a reader and an ink-jet recording device with which it is possible to maintain the accuracy of reading a document continuously for a longer time. The reader is provided with a detection unit for detecting light from the surface of an object to be read and a housing for shutting the detection unit tight, the housing having a window for allowing the light from the surface of the object to be read to enter the inside via a light permeable member, the window being provided at a position in the housing more separate from the surface of the object to be read than is a nearest surface facing the surface of the object to be read in the shortest distance.

  • Patent number: 10442229
Abstract: An inkjet recording device includes: an inkjet head that forms an image on a recording medium by ejecting ink containing a phosphor onto the recording medium; an ultraviolet light source that irradiates the image formed on the recording medium with ultraviolet rays; and an imager that detects fluorescence emitted by the image by the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays.

  • Patent number: 10406820
Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes: a conveyor having an endless conveying belt that conveys a recording medium; an image former that forms an image on the recording medium conveyed by the conveying belt; a correction mark formed on the conveying belt; a line sensor disposed downstream of the image former in a conveying direction of the recording medium, the line sensor having a linear detection surface; and a hardware processor that controls the conveying belt, the image former, and the line sensor, wherein the hardware processor calculates an inclination angle of the detection surface of the line sensor with respect to a width direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, based on image data of the correction mark read by the line sensor, and corrects image data of the line sensor based on the inclination angle.
