  • Publication number: 20220282456
Abstract: A work machine includes: a controller; a first electrical circuit provided with a first power supply that supplies power to the controller; an electric drive source necessary for operating the work machine; and a second electrical circuit provided with a second power supply that supplies power to the electric drive source. The work machine further includes: a capacitor provided to the second electrical circuit; a first precharge device that performs precharge of the capacitor by using power of the first power supply; and a second precharge device that performs precharge of the capacitor by using power of the second power supply. The controller performs precharge by using one of the precharge devices when it is determined that precharge by using the other one of the precharge devices is impossible.

  • Publication number: 20200040552
Abstract: A main controller 28 performs automatic stop control to stop an engine in a case where a preset automatic stop condition is satisfied, and includes a power source control processing section 283 controlling power supplied from a capacitor to an electric or electronic facility 70. The power source control processing section 283 estimates a charge amount by which the capacitor 40 is charged by the alternator 41 while an engine 9 is in operation, estimates an electric discharge amount corresponding to power supplied from the capacitor 40 to the electric or electronic facility 70 while the engine 9 is stopped under the automatic stop control, and stops supply of power from the capacitor 40 to the electric or electronic facility 70 when the electric discharge amount is determined to be larger than the charge amount while the engine 9 is stopped under the automatic stop control. This allows reliable suppression of degradation of the capacitor while the engine is under the automatic stop control.

  • Patent number: 8639422
Abstract: When temperature is low, a low-temperature mode is selected, followed by the activation of the heating mode functionality 25a of a PCU 25. Specifically, the PCU 25 sets the ratio of energy recovered by a capacitor 23 to be equal to or greater than the largest value of the energy recovery ratios of the capacitor 23 in a normal mode (e.g., assist motor 22:capacitor 23=2:8). Thus, more energy is stored on the capacitor 23 than in the normal mode, helping the capacitor 23 generates heat. As a result, the liquid temperature of the coolant is increased, and its viscosity is reduced accordingly. As above, the invention provides a simple cooling system to be mounted on a hybrid working machine, which is capable of preventing decreases in energy efficiency at low temperature.
