  • Patent number: 6255660
Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet giving a high sensitivity and a high sharpness in a radiation image recording and reproducing method is composed of a stimulable phosphor-containing partition which divides the phosphor sheet along its plane into small sections, and stimulable phosphor-incorporated area which is divided with the partition and which has a reflectivity with respect to stimulating rays differing from a reflectivity with respect to the stimulating rays of the partition.

  • Patent number: 6252243
Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet giving a high sensitivity and a high sharpness in a radiation image recording and reproducing method is composed of a partition containing a phosphor that emits a light in a UV or visible region upon absorbing the applied radiation which divides the phosphor sheet on its plane into small sections, and stimulable phosphor-incorporated area which is divided with the partition and which has a reflectivity to stimulating rays differing from a reflectivity to the stimulating rays of the partition.

  • Patent number: 6204495
Abstract: Using a radiation image reading method and apparatus for reading a radiation image from a stimulable phosphor sheet on which the radiation image has been recorded, the radiation image is read quickly and an image signal having a preferable S/N ratio is obtained. A laser beam emitted from a laser beam source is reflected and deflected by a rotational polygon mirror and irradiated on the stimulable phosphor sheet storing the radiation image. Light emitted from the portion whereon the laser beam has been irradiated is photoelectrically converted by a line sensor composed of a plurality of solid state photoelectric conversion devices placed in line, and an image signal representing the radiation image recorded on the sheet is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5003182
Abstract: There is disclosed a novel cerium activated rare earth oxyhalide phosphor which has the following formula (I):LnOX:xCe (I)in which Ln is Y, La, Gd or Lu; X is Cl, Br or I; and x is 0<x.ltoreq.0.2, and a ratio of X/Ln is 0.500<X/Ln.ltoreq.0.998 by atomic ratio, and the maximum peak (.lambda.) of the stimulation spectrum of the phosphor is 550 nm<.lambda.<700 nm. a radiation image recording and reproducing method and a radiation image storage panel employing the above-mentioned phosphor are also disclosed.
