  • Publication number: 20210282145
Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods relate to selecting transmission parameters that optimize a dimension (e.g., time, frequency, and/or spatial) under a set of constraints. A UE may receive a resource allocation mode indication and a traffic parameter indication from a BS. The resource allocation mode indication informs the UE to optimize along a time dimension, a frequency dimension, and/or a spatial domain. The traffic parameter indication informs the UE what constraints to consider for the transmission parameters. The UE may use this information upon receipt of a reference signal in selecting transmission parameters based on the received reference signal, resource allocation mode indication, and traffic parameter indication. The resource allocation mode may correspond to optimization within a single slot or across multiple slots. Once selected, the UE may transmit the transmission parameters to the BS for use in sending the message to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20210274520
Abstract: In some aspects, multi-slot transport block (TB) configurations for communicating data between wireless devices, such as between a base station and a user equipment (UE), in a wireless communication system are described. Some examples of multi-slot configurations enable the communication of large payloads. For example, an application of a wireless device may jointly process data from a large file or other large set of packets. In such examples, the wireless device transmitting the large file may utilize a multi-slot TB including multiple TB segments corresponding to respective slots of a transmission. Similarly, a wireless device receiving the large file may utilize the multi-slot TB configuration for receiving the data.

  • Patent number: 10979203
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for selecting an operating channel for a cellular network to reduce interference to a wireless local area network (WLAN) operated by a small cell comprising a WLAN access point and a cellular network modem. The small cell performs a channel scan of available channels, determines whether or not there is a clean channel to be the operating channel for the cellular network based on the channel scan, wherein a clean channel comprises a channel that interferes with the WLAN less than a WLAN interference threshold, and selects the clean channel as the operating channel for the cellular network based on the clean channel being available or turns off the cellular network based on no clean channel being available.

  • Publication number: 20210007098
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe determining an uplink channel raster for determining frequency location of an uplink channel over which to transmit uplink communications to a base station. Uplink communications can be transmitted to the base station over the uplink channel. The uplink channel raster can be shifted, in frequency, with respect to a legacy uplink channel raster of a legacy communication technology to facilitate coexistence, in an uplink carrier, of the uplink channel and one or more uplink channels of the legacy communication technology.

  • Patent number: 10880033
Abstract: A two stage scrambling design is provided for generating and decoding Resource Spread Multiple Access (RSMA) modulated streams. A User equipment (UE) scrambles each data stream of a set of data streams using a first scrambling sequence to generate a first set of scrambled data streams, and then scrambles the first set of scrambled data streams using a second scrambling sequence to generate a second set of scrambled data streams, wherein the second scrambling sequence is longer than the first scrambling sequence. The UE then transmits the second set of scrambled data streams. A receiving base station determines the first and second scrambling sequences used by the UE and decodes the transmissions received from the UE based on the determined scrambling sequences.

  • Publication number: 20200404604
Abstract: A configuration to allow a base station to be synchronized with an application server to enable the base station to align uplink transmissions of a UE with downlink reception periods of the UE. The base station communicates with a UE using periodic uplink traffic bursts and periodic downlink traffic bursts. The base station selects a time offset to at least one of uplink traffic or downlink traffic to increase an overlap between the uplink traffic bursts and the downlink traffic bursts. The base station sends the time offset to an AF.

  • Publication number: 20200383004
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for traffic burst awareness in wireless systems. An application function, such as via an application server, can determine one or more burst parameters associated with a traffic flow for at least one service. The application function can send the one or more burst parameters a network. The burst parameters may include a burst factor associated with a minimum bit rate for providing service coverage for the traffic flow and/or a burst spread. A core network and/or access network (AN) entity can obtain the burst parameters and utilize the burst factor for communicating with a user equipment (UE). The CN and/or AN may use the burst parameters for admission control, resource allocation, and/or setting sleep mode parameters.

  • Publication number: 20200266932
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for acknowledging receipt of a transmission, or triggering a retransmission, based on an initial decoding or measurement of the transmission. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink transmission and perform initial decoding or a measurement on the downlink transmission to determine an initial feedback for the downlink transmission. The initial feedback may be provided to a base station in a first set of uplink resources configured for initial feedback transmissions. The base station may receive the initial feedback, and may initiate a retransmission of the downlink transmission before a final feedback determination is made at the UE. In cases where a UE transmits an uplink transmission, the base station may perform initial decoding and may allocate retransmission resources to the UE prior to completing a final decoding of the uplink transmission.

  • Patent number: 10749713
Abstract: Some wireless communication systems may attempt to balance frequent transmission opportunities (e.g., where the frequency of the opportunities may refer to gaps in the time domain, frequency domain, etc.) with a desire for communication reliability and/or interference diversity. In accordance with the described techniques, some such systems may apportion communicating devices into groups, where resources are strategically assigned to each group so as to reduce latency without significantly compromising communication reliability or interference diversity (e.g., by allowing a membership of the groups to cycle through all possible combinations before repeating). Such techniques may support delay-sensitive communications, channel sounding procedures, or other similar types of transmissions. Resources may be allocated based on a scheduling parameter transmitted to a user equipment (UE), which may implicitly or explicitly indicate a plurality of resource offsets to the UE.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interference mitigation. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication. The method generally includes performing communications, in a first channel, on a first downlink in a first time period based on communications in a second channel adjacent to the first channel being performed on a second downlink in the first time period. Communications in the first channel on a first uplink are performed in a second time period based on communication in the second channel being performed on a second uplink in the second time period. The method further includes refraining from communicating in the first channel on one or more resources in the first time period or the second time period to mitigate cross-link interference with a third channel adjacent to the first channel.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first base station (BS) may detect remote interference, with one or more uplink communications on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with the first BS, caused by propagation of one or more reference signal (RS) communications, transmitted by a second BS, out of a coverage area of the second BS and into a coverage area of the first BS due to reflection of the one or more RS communications. The coverage area of the first BS and the coverage area of the second BS are non-overlapping coverage areas. The first BS may adjust, based at least in part on detecting the remote interference, one or more radio resource allocations of the PUSCH associated with the first BS.
