Abstract: An anchored cut-metal gate (CMG) plug, a semiconductor device including the anchored CMG plug and methods of forming the semiconductor device are disclosed herein. The method includes performing a series of etching processes to form a trench through a metal gate electrode, through an isolation region, and into a semiconductor substrate. The trench cuts-through and separates the metal gate electrode into a first metal gate and a second metal gate and forms a recess in the semiconductor substrate. Once the trench has been formed, a dielectric plug material is deposited into the trench to form a CMG plug that is anchored within the recess of the semiconductor substrate and separates the first and second metal gates. As such, the anchored CMG plug provides high levels of resistance to reduce leakage current within the semiconductor device during operation and allowing for improved V-trigger performance of the semiconductor device.

Y? in the third ionic compound is the same as Y? in the first ionic compound or Y? in the second ionic compound. A method for preparing an extracted material and a forward-osmosis water desalination system using the same are also provided.

Abstract: An ionic liquid and a forward osmosis process employing the same are provided. The ionic liquid has a structure represented by Formula (I) ABn ??Formula (I) , wherein A is n is 1 or 2; m is 0, or an integer from 1 to 7; R1 and R2 are independently methyl or ethyl; k is an integer from 3 to 8; B is i is independently 1, 2, or 3; and j is 5, 6, or 7. The forward osmosis process employing the ionic liquid is used to desalinate a brine via a forward osmosis (FO) model.

Abstract: A revenue forecasting method, a revenue forecasting system and a graphical user interface are provided. The revenue forecasting system includes a storage device and a processing device. The processing device includes a pricing tree establishing unit, a generalizing unit, a path establishing unit, a simulation data establishing unit and an estimating unit. The pricing tree establishing unit builds a pricing tree comprising several feature hierarchies, a pricing hierarchy and an order hierarchy according to a target product. The generalizing unit generalizes several pricing nodes according to several target historical orders in the order hierarchy. The path establishing unit generates several pricing paths according to several approximate products. The simulation data establishing unit obtains several simulated historical orders according to a correlation between each of the pricing paths and the pricing tree.

Abstract: A touch electrode structure and a capacitive touch system are provided. The touch electrode structure includes: a substrate; a plurality of first electrode series each including a plurality of first electrodes; a plurality of second electrode series each including a plurality of second electrodes; and at least one connecting wire. Each of the second electrode series includes at least one electrode group, and the at least one electrode group includes two of the second electrodes. The two of the second electrodes are electrically connected to each other on a first surface of the substrate, and at least one of the two of the second electrodes is electrically connected to one of the second electrodes adjacent to the at least one of the two of the second electrodes.

A first number and a second number are created. A first discrete logarithm based on the first number and the predefined number is determined and sent to the user device, together with the second number. A second discrete logarithm is received from the user device. A first pass code is calculated via a third discrete logarithm, based on the second discrete logarithm, the first number, and the predefined number. A second pass code is received via a fourth discrete logarithm, based on the first discrete logarithm, the third number, and the predefined number. Upon determining that the first pass code is identical to the second pass code, the user device is allowed to access a resource associated with the computing device.

Abstract: A motion recording device of brewing pour over coffee used to record the process of a user brewing pour over coffee, comprises a water injection unit, a displacement sensing module, a water volume sensing module and a recording unit. The water injection unit is connected to a working platform. The user can move the water injection unit to pour water from the water injection unit. The displacement sensing module is disposed on the working platform and used to measure the change of the position of the water injection unit during the process of pouring water. The water volume sensing module is used to measure the change of the water volume poured out from the water injection unit during the process of pouring water. The recording unit is used to record the change of the position the water injection unit and the change of the water volume poured out from the water injection unit during the process of pouring water.

Abstract: A recording system of brewing pour over coffee which comprises a touch screen, a robotic manipulator and a storage unit. The touch screen displays information, such as coffee drippers, water amounts, etc, thereon and for a user to input a process of brewing pour over coffee thereon. The touch screen allows the user to manage the status of the pour over coffee in real-time. The robotic manipulator equipped with a water injection unit, which moves the water injection unit according to the process of brewing pour over coffee to pour water to a coffee dripper simultaneously to make coffee. The storage unit stores data, such as a position where the water to be poured, a route of the process of brewing pour over coffee, a speed of the pouring motion and the required amount of water to be poured during the process of brewing pour over coffee.

Abstract: An information display board with improved display performance by light-extending light sources is revealed. The information display board includes a display board and a plurality of light-extending light sources each of which consists of a light emitting diode (LED) and a reflective panel. The LED has a light emitting side and a backside while the reflective panel is disposed on the light emitting side of the LED for reflecting a part of light emitted from the light emitting side to the display board on the backside to form an expanded area. Thus illuminance and illuminated area of information shown on the display board are increased. By continuous lighting generated, messages/information shown on the information display board such as traffic sign can be read more clearly and comfortably.
