    Abstract: A wavelength converting composition is provided, including: a plurality of first cholesteric liquid crystal flakes (CLCFs); a plurality of first quantum dots; and a resin, wherein the first CLCFs and the first quantum dots are dispersed in the resin, and wherein when first light passes the wavelength converting composition, the first quantum dots are excited by the first light and emit second light having a wavelength different from a wavelength of the first light, and the second light is reflected by the first CLCFs a number of times to increase a gain. A wavelength converting structure, a luminescence film having the wavelength converting structure, and a backlit component having the wavelength converting composition are also provided.

    Abstract: An embedded system includes a program to be executed. The program is divided into overlays. The embedded system includes a processor configured to request one of the overlays. The requested overlay includes a segment of the program to be executed by the processor. The embedded system also includes a first level memory device coupled to the processor. The first level memory device stores less than all of the overlays of the program. The embedded system further includes a memory management unit coupled to the processor and the first level memory device. The memory management unit is configured to determine, based on a logical address provided by the processor, whether the requested overlay is stored in the first level memory device. The memory management unit is additionally configured to convert the logical address to a physical address when the requested overlay is stored in the first level memory device. The physical address points to the requested overlay.

The enhanced wavelength converting structure includes a first crosslinked cholesteric liquid crystal layer and a plurality of first quantum dots dispersed in the first crosslinked cholesteric liquid crystal layer. When a first light is incident into the enhanced wavelength converting structure, the plurality of first quantum dots are excited and emit a second light of a wavelength different from a wavelength of the first light, and the second light is toned up via multiple reflections in the first crosslinked cholesteric liquid crystal layer. The molecular weight of the monomer of the siloxane is equal to or greater than 5000. A part of the polymer layer is exposed to a light so as to form a plurality of hydrophobic sections. A hydrophilic section is developed by treating a developing agent. The hydrophilic section and the plurality of hydrophobic sections form a pattern layer together. Polar liquid and non-polar liquid are disposed between the pattern layer and the second conductive layer.
