A collar is connected to one side of the head and has a slit defined radially through the collar. An engaging member has a first end thereof fixed to the collar, and a second end of the engaging member extends through the slit. The second end of the engaging member is partially located within the through hole of the collar and located above the reception hole of the ratchet tube. An operation ring is mounted to the collar and connected the engaging. A C-clip is mounted to the outer periphery of the collar. When the operation ring is rotated, the second end of the engaging member is pushed to move within the through hole of the collar to position a socket located in the reception hole of the ratchet tube.

The shaft includes a threaded rod that extends beyond the rotary member. A sleeve is mounted to the threaded shaft. A rotary unit includes a tube which has a mounting section and a threaded section on two ends thereof. By rotating the tube, the rotary member and the threaded shaft are rotated relative to the stationary member so as to compress the spring to set the output torque value. A knob is then threadedly connected to the threaded rod to secure the output torque value.

When pushing the positioning unit, the operation rod is moved and the bead is submerged in the protrusion to release or to connect with a socket to the protrusion. The pawl includes a slot that extends in the radial direction of the hole in the head. A control member is rotatably engaged with the hole and includes a stud inserted into the slot. A resilient member is located in the slot and biased between the stud and the inner end of the slot.
