  • Publication number: 20040156487
Abstract: A wireless tag 1 carried by a user sends a user ID stored in an internal memory to a terminal 21 with wireless signals. The terminal 21 sends the user ID from the wireless tag 1 to a messaging server 3. The messaging server 3 relates the user ID with the content (acquired from a content server 4) desired by the user of the user ID, stores them and delivers to the terminal 21 the content corresponding to the user ID from the terminal 21. The terminal 21 outputs the delivered contents to a display unit and so on. The wireless tag 1 moves depending on the movement of the user, the user ID is sent to the messaging server 3 from a terminal 2i where the user has moved, and the content is delivered to the terminal 2i. In this way, the user can receive the delivery of the content with the terminal where the user has moved.

  • Publication number: 20040111521
Abstract: To provide a service customized for each user and for each application, when user host terminal H1 communicates with user host terminal H2 using VoIP, the terminal H1 transmits a service initiation message to service execution units SN1 and SN2. By this message, the service execution unit SN1 and SN2 require service information L-SPC (A) and service information G-SPC (A), both information regards to VoIP service of the term H1, to authentication server A1 respectively. The service execution unit SN1 and SN2 execute a service based on L-SPC (A) and G-SPC (A) respectively. Doing this, service execution unit may provide a service customized for each user and for each application.

  • Publication number: 20030196118
Abstract: The present invention relates to an IP network including mobile environment and, in particular, to a service control network and its control method for providing individual service every user or terminal of an IP network. In a service control network including a service control device for performing Layer-7 service control for mobile terminals, an authentication server device specifies a Layer-7 profile and an associated dependent Layer-3 profile of a mobile terminal at the success of the authentication of the mobile terminal. An edge device transfers packets, which have been received from the mobile terminal after the success of the authentication of the mobile terminal and match the dependent Layer-3 profile, to the service control device. The service control device controls the implementation of a Layer-7 service for packets which have been received from the edge device and match the Layer-7 profile.

  • Publication number: 20020199104
Abstract: A first edge node accommodating a first IPv6 host holds the service information about the first IPv6 host received from an AAA server, and host address information about the first IPv6 host. A second edge node accommodating a second IPv6 host holds the host address information about the second IPv6 host. The first edge node obtains the host address information about the second IPv6 host from the second edge node when communications from the first IPv6 host to the second IPv6 host are started. The first edge node enables the service information according to the host address information about the first and second IPv6 hosts, and provides the corresponding service.

  • Publication number: 20020188562
Abstract: A billing system is disclosed which performs processing in order to provide service to user terminals, and which performs billing for the service provided to the user terminals. In this billing system, user billing profiles UBP are stored in a user billing profile registration unit, by service type and in user terminal units; a billing condition generation unit within a service provider server compares the user billing profile UBP corresponding to a specified service type and to a user terminal with a server billing profile SBP to generate billing conditions, and a billing condition setting unit of a foreign agent sets the billing conditions in a billing unit; and based on the billing conditions thus set, the billing unit executes billing processing for each user terminal.

  • Publication number: 20020018456
Abstract: Linked with a position registration procedure in a mobile IP, the invention provides a VPN setting service using an IP Sec. tunnel between optional terminals without requiring these terminals to have a specific VPN function. This service is provided by a mobile terminal, authentication servers, a VPN database, and network apparatuses. A home authentication server extracts from the VPN database the VPN information of a user who has requested the authentication at the time of making a position registration request from the mobile terminal. The home authentication server then posts the VPN information to each network apparatus using a predetermined position registration message and an authentication response message. Based on the posted VPN information, the network apparatuses set a VPN path by the IP Sec.

  • Publication number: 20020006133
Abstract: A mobile node stores a binding update message and an AMR message in the header of an IPv6 packet, and transmits the packet to a home agent. This packet is once transferred to an AAAH. The AAAH authenticates the mobile node according to the AMR message, stores the binding update message and a service profile of the mobile node in the header of the IPv6 packet, and transmits the packet to the home agent. The home agent registers the location of the mobile node, stores the service profile in the header of the IPv6 packet, and transmits the packet to the mobile node.

  • Publication number: 20010053694
Abstract: A network system which provides each terminal user with differentiated service, dynamically changing service profiles even in the middle of a communication session. A service control database maintains service profile definitions. When a mobile node registers with a foreign agent to initiate a communication session, a service profile setting controller in the mobile node's home server sets up a service profile for the mobile user. When an event occurs within a service profile updating controller, it indicates that some control condition specified in the service profile is met. The service profile updating controller then makes access to the service control database to obtain a new service profile. The mobile node's foreign server forwards it to the foreign agent, to which the mobile node is attached. The service profile that has been established in relevant network nodes, including the home agent and foreign agent, is dynamically updated with the new one.

  • Publication number: 20010016492
Abstract: Location registration information transmitted from a mobile node is notified to a home agent via a foreign agent, an AAAF, and an AAAH. Upon receipt of the location registration information, the AAAH extracts the service profile corresponding to the mobile node from a service control database, and edits the extracted profile into a format that is not dependent on a service type. The AAAH then distributes the edited service profile to the home agent and the foreign agent. The home agent and the foreign agent provide the service requested by the mobile node according to the distributed service profile.

  • Publication number: 20010012777
Abstract: Providing a network communications system, which extensively supports a mobile terminal. A proxy CN being a router is arranged between a correspondent terminal (CN) and a home agent which directly corresponds to the correspondent terminal (CN). The CN accesses the proxy CN when receiving a service using the Mobile IP. The CN is authenticated by a link layer authenticating server which references a service profile DB, and makes a connection to a network. Communication with a mobile terminal (MN) being a communication partner is made via the proxy CN. In addition, a packet transmission by tunneling is performed by the proxy CN.
