  • Patent number: 9428775
Abstract: Disclosed is the biological production of lactic acid using a microorganism. A transformant capable of producing lactic acid of high optical purity at high yield, a method for the preparation thereof, and a method for producing lactic acid in a convenient and economically beneficial manner using the same are provided. The Zymomonas mobilis transformant can produce lactic acid of high optical purity at high yield without a stringent limitation to production conditions and a regulation of the intracellular metabolism pathway. Because it requires no additional separation and purification steps, the use of the transformant allows the production of lactic acid in a short process, resulting in a significant reduction in production cost, and avoiding the environment problems caused by precipitate wastes, which brings about environmental issues.

  • Patent number: 7279853
Abstract: A dimmer fixture has a ballast board 10, a main board 40 and switch 70. The ballast board and main board have no inductors so the fixture may be used for fluorescent and incandescent lamps. The ballast board 10 has two bridge circuits 14, 16 and two dc voltage regulators. A delay circuit 24 prevents the VCO 26 for operating for long enough to allow fluorescent lamps to warm up. The main board has four power MOSFETS or IGBTs. One of devices Q1 and Q2 is always on. One of devices Q3, Q4 completes the drive to the lamps. Control signals on ballast board 10 operate the power devices Q1-Q4.

  • Patent number: 7065067
Abstract: Disclosed is an authentication method between a mobile node (MN) and a home agent (HA) in a wireless communication system supporting packet communication. The wireless communication system includes the HA, a foreign agent (FA) connected to which the MN assigned a Mobile IP address, and first and second servers provided respectively to the HA and the FA for authentication. Upon receiving a Registration Request message from the MN, the FA generates an Access Request message and transmits the generated Access Request message to the first server through the second server. Upon receiving the Access Request message, the first server generates an authentication shared key with a preset number and transmits the generated authentication shared key to the FA through the second server. The FA authenticates the Registration Request message according to the authentication shared key and transmits the authenticated Registration Request message to the HA.
