  • Patent number: 6842972
Abstract: A terminal-joining apparatus includes a lock member. A temporarily assembled unit of a terminal assembly is guided into a receiving space and a bent portion of the unit pushes up a releasing surface of the lock member. When the releasing surface is pushed up, the lock member is turned about a fixed axle and a lock-supporting portion is moved down. When a lever is released from the lock-supporting portion and is turned about an axle, the temporarily assembled unit of the terminal assembly is pressed between a pressing surface and a stop wall to permanently join the unit.

  • Patent number: 6382016
Abstract: An inspection device is provided for inspecting whether the gap between the front and rear sides of a grommet is watertightly sealed. The inspection device includes a cylindrical member (10) into which electric wires (4) projected from a front end of a grommet (3) are inserted and a sealing means (11) for sealing the cylindrical member. Air is supplied into the cylindrical member (10). When the air flow stops due to pressurization of the cylindrical member (10), it is determined that the grommet (3) has passed an examination. Thus, it is possible to detect the gap between the electric wires (4) with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 6163224
Abstract: A PLL circuit detects oscillation halt of a voltage control oscillator, generates an oscillation control signal for automatically oscillating the voltage control oscillator based upon the detected signal, and automatically restores the voltage control oscillator to a normal oscillation state by the use of the generated signal. The voltage control oscillator is structured by a ring oscillator in which a plurality of differential amplifiers are connected in a ring form. A plurality of oscillation control means are arranged for the respective inputs of the differential amplifiers so as to set the ring oscillator into an oscillationable state when the voltage control oscillator halts. The oscillation control means is controlled by the oscillating control signal.

  • Patent number: 6003851
Abstract: A cable sold device 10 comprises a top portion 14 and a base portion 12 which are connected with each other via a hinge 15 and define a space 18 for accommodating at least one cable C. The movement of the at least one cable C in the space 18 is restricted while the top portion 14 and the base portion 12 are closed with respect to each other. Further, an apparatus 500 for introducing the cables C into a grommet 6 comprises the cable hold device 510, a grommet hold device 510 for holding the grommet 6 substantially in line with the cables C, and an actuation mechanism 520 for causing a relative movement of the grommet hold device 510 with respect to the cable hold device 10.

  • Patent number: 5852958
Abstract: To facilitate removal of partly peeled end coating portions W2 of insulated wires W, improve operability so as to make it unlikely to strain an operator, and keep the alignment of the ends of the insulated wires W from which the end coating portions W2 are removed. There is provided a retainer member 23 capable of retaining exposed cores W1 of the insulated wires W. Cut faces of coating portions W3 of the insulated wires W from which the end coating portions W2 are to be removed engage the retainer member 23. There is further provided a removal portion 24, 25 for applying a force to the end coating portions W2 in a removal direction between the retainer member 23 and the removal portion 24, 25. The end coating portions W2 are removed from the cores W1 by retaining the exposed cores W1 of the insulated wires W by retainer member 23 and by applying a force to the end coating portions W2 in the removal direction by the removal portion 24, 25.

  • Patent number: 5785096
Abstract: To provide a wire end retainer capable of retaining and positioning a collected end portion 11 of a wire bundle during a wire arranging operation. A retainer main body 300 for accommodating the collected end portion 11 and an engaging plate 400 slidably fittable into the retainer main body 300 are provided. The retainer main body 300 is formed with an insertion hole 311, and the engaging plate 400 is formed with a tapered hole 430. The holes 310 and 430 communicate with each other inside the retainer main body 300. By pulling the engaging plate 400 after the collected end portion 11 is inserted through the insertion hole 310, the collected end portion 11 is tightly held between opposite faces 431, 432 of the tapered hole 430.
