  • Patent number: 8677067
Abstract: In a storage system in which storage apparatuses communicatively coupled to a host computer are communicatively coupled to SVPs of the storage apparatuses through a management network, virtual SVPs are configured based on resources of the SVPs, and a maintenance environment for constituent elements of the storage apparatuses is provided through the virtual SVP to a maintenance apparatus accessing through the management network. The virtual SVPs share the information held by the SVPs. The virtual SVP performs maintenance and management of the storage apparatuses through a virtual storage apparatus configured based on the resources of at least two of the storage apparatuses. The virtual SVP acquires a data transmission amount for each communication protocol of a network port from a channel control unit, and sets a bandwidth for each communication protocol of the network port based on the acquired data transmission amount.

  • Patent number: 8506098
Abstract: A mounting portion structure for stably temporarily fixing a door mirror is provided. Two temporary fixing pieces are formed to protrude on a gasket. Pawls are formed to direct outward at tips of the two temporary fixing pieces. The gasket is previously secured to the mirror base by a screw. The two temporary fixing pieces are inserted through an opening in a mirror mounting portion of a vehicle, and the pawls of the temporary fixing pieces are locked to facing edges of the opening to temporarily fix the mirror base to the mirror mounting portion. Then, the mirror base and the mirror mounting portion are permanently fixed by a screw.

  • Patent number: 8480273
Abstract: In an outer mirror with turn lamp having a structure in which a turn lamp assembly is mounted to a mirror housing, then a housing cover is placed over and mounted to the mirror housing, and a lens of the turn lamp assembly is exposed through an opening in the housing cover, misalignment between the lens of the turn lamp assembly and the opening in the housing cover is prevented. A protrusion is formed on a back surface near the innermost part of an opening in a housing cover. A hole is formed in the turn lamp assembly in a position facing the protrusion with the housing cover being placed over the mirror housing. When the housing cover is placed over the mirror housing, the protrusion is inserted into and engaged with the hole. This prevents misalignment between the lens of the turn lamp assembly and the opening in the housing cover.

  • Patent number: 8177400
Abstract: There is provided an outer mirror with turn lamp that facilitates assembling of a housing cover to a mirror housing and increases strength of the housing cover. A turn lamp assembly is mounted to a mirror housing. A housing cover is placed over and mounted to a partial area of the mirror housing. Thus, a lens of the turn lamp assembly is exposed through an opening formed in an outer position of the housing cover. The mirror housing and the housing cover are connected to each other with a ridge and a groove in end surfaces and abutting against and fitting each other. On a wall on an inner side of the mirror that constitutes a part of the component of the groove in the housing cover, at an assembling start position in an outer position outside the opening, an assembling leading rib is formed that protrudes in a direction abutting against the end surface of the mirror housing.

  • Patent number: 7658774
Abstract: A method of producing a grid for a lead-acid battery in accordance with the present invention includes the step of placing lead alloy foil on a base material sheet of a lead-calcium alloy and attaching the lead alloy foil under pressure to the base material sheet. The thickness t of the lead alloy foil, the thickness a of the base material sheet before the attaching, and the thickness b of the composite sheet after the attaching satisfy the relational expression 1.3?(a+t)/b. The length L of the contact part of rollers with the base material sheet and the lead alloy foil is 10 mm or more. This makes it possible to secure good adhesion of the lead alloy foil to the base material sheet. Also, when this composite sheet is subjected to an expanding process and used as a positive electrode grid, it is possible to provide a lead-acid battery having excellent cycle life characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6593032
Abstract: A storage battery including an electrode and an electrolyte material, in which the electrode has a grid with a mesh area of about 50 mm2 or less and an active material provided on the grid. Accordingly, it is made possible to prevent a decrease in the negative electrode's conductivity due to a contraction of the negative electrode active material that takes place extensively when a cycle of charge and discharge is repeated particularly at high temperatures with a resulting remarkable improvement in cycle life characteristics of a lead-acid storage battery.

  • Patent number: 5590614
Abstract: This sewing machine is provided with a stop member for stopping the downward movement of the presser foot holder in the case that the cushion piece on the retainer is left out. This stop member is provided with a cushion piece on its upper surface to stop the abutting member provided in the presser foot holder in the shock-absorbed condition. Besides, this stop operation is performed in the condition where a clearance to place cloth is made between the upper surface of the bed and the lower end of the presser foot. As a result, in the normal condition, it is needless to say that the sewing work can be performed without damage of the cloth or without occurrence of big sound, and even in the abnormal condition that the cushion piece employed on the retainer to prevent the occurrence of the noise has been left out, the sewing work can be continuously performed preventing damage of the cloth or occurrence of excessively big sound.
