    Abstract: A glass run includes a glass run section, a trim section and a molding section. The glass run section is formed of a soft material, the trim section is formed of a hard material and the molding section is formed of a hard material by injection molding. The molding section includes a head part and a leg part, and has a generally T-shaped cross-section. A bottom wall of the trim section and an outer side wall of the glass run section are integrally joined to an interior surface of the head part of the molding section, while sandwiching the leg part of the molding section. A side wall of the trim section, is integrally joined to one of side surfaces of the leg part, whereas a bottom wall of the glass run section is integrally joined to the other side surface of the leg part.

    Abstract: A door weather strip includes a base attached along the outer periphery of a door frame and a hollow seal, and a clip attached to the base. The clip includes an engaging part fit in and enagageable with an attaching hole in the door frame and a retained part retained to the base. The retained part includes a retaining piece and a coupling portion coupling the center area of the retaining piece in the longitudinal direction and the engaging part. Using an inserting means equipped with an insertion pin which is nearly cylindrical and sharp-pointed, the insertion pin is pierced into the base so that the retaining piece is fed through the inner peripheral side of the insertion pin to the inner face side of the base, thereby attaching the clip to the base.

    Abstract: A molding device for molding a molded portion of a weather strip has a lower mold, an upper mold, a first sliding mold, a second sliding mold, and a core mold. The core mold has a core body and a core holding portion. The core body comprises a molding part, and insertion parts, into which end parts of an extrusion portion are respectively inserted. The core holding portion extends from only a one-side part of the core body. Cutout portions are formed in parts in which the core holding portion is not present. Convex portions of the second sliding mold are fitted thereinto in what is called a zero-abutment state. Upon completion of molding, the second sliding mold is slid to thereby cause a molded portion to perform relative movement with respect to the core mold. Consequently, the core body can extremely easily be removed from the molded portion.

After a core body is taken out of a molded portion precursor, the blocking clip is attached thereto, so that the molded portion is obtained.

Also, plural blocking pieces are provided at predetermined intervals along the slit. Each of the blocking pieces has a base piece portion formed in such a way as to extend from a mounting-face side of the mounting base portion, and also has an insertion portion, which is integrally formed with the base piece portion, and a lock portion to be locked on an inner surface of the mounting base portion. After the core body is taken out of a molded portion precursor, the base piece portion of each of the blocking pieces is bent around a part thereof continuously connected to the mounting base portion, so that the insertion portion is fitted into the slit, and that the lock portion is locked on the inner surface of the molded portion precursor, which faces a hollow portion. Thus, the molded portion is obtained.
