  • Publication number: 20120103817
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a dielectric cytometric apparatus capable of analyzing cells and sorting the cells without adopting an optical analysis method and provides a dielectric cytometric cell sorting method for the apparatus. A stenosis channel allowing a single cell to flow is created on a cell injection section of a micro flow channel device used as a portion of the dielectric cytometric apparatus. A pair of measurement electrodes is created on the stenosis channel and an analyzer connected to the measurement electrodes measures the complex dielectric constant of for every cell passing through the stenosis channel. A electric-field application section provided on the downstream side of the stenosis channel applies an electric field for changing the flow of the cells inside a flow channel on the basis of information on the measured complex dielectric constants so that the cells can be sorted by making use of branch channels.

  • Publication number: 20120035450
Abstract: A blood coagulation system analysis device capable of analyzing a blood coagulation system with high accuracy, and a method and a program for analysis of a blood coagulation system are proposed. The blood coagulation system is observed as a temporal change in permittivity before the viscoelasticity manifestation timing (timing at which blood starts to clot from the viewpoint of viscoelasticity (in greater detail, timing at which active polymerization of fibrin monomers starts)). A permittivity of blood which is positioned between a pair of electrodes is measured at predetermined time intervals after the anticoagulant effect acting on the blood is ended, and from the measurement result, a degree of the action of the blood coagulation system is analyzed.

  • Publication number: 20100136606
Abstract: Firstly, a shape of a cell as an object of a measurement is modeled, and a complex electric permittivity response when an AC electric field is applied to the cell is obtained through a numerical analysis (Step S1). A numerical calculation is carried out based on that result while values of a membrane capacitance Cm and a cell cytoplasm electric conductivity ?i are changed, thereby calculating a dielectric spectrum (Step S2). The dielectric spectrum thus calculated is revolved to a dielectric relaxation expression, thereby obtaining a rise ?? in relative electric permittivity and relaxation time ? (Step S3). Next, dependency of (??, ?) on (Cm, ?i) is obtained, thereby creating a regression expression corresponding to the shape of the cell as the object of the measurement (Step S4).

  • Patent number: 6120012
Abstract: An engine mount which is capable of changing its vibration transmission characteristics with a simple structure using an inexpensive actuator is provided. A partition is inserted to a side member to which a mount rubber (rubber vibration isolator) of the engine mount is spliced to close a space between the mount rubber and to create an air chamber. An air duct pipe which communicates with the air chamber is connected to the side member and is connected to a VSV (vacuum switching valve) via a connection pipe. The VSV is controlled to ON/OFF states based on a driving voltage Vout from an ECU which corresponds to explosive vibrations of the engine to switch pressure within the air chamber to negative pressure of a vacuum tank in which negative pressure of an intake manifold is accumulated or to atmospheric pressure, interlocking with the vibration of the engine.
