  • Publication number: 20070196086
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus which is capable of enhancing the accuracy of shake correction. A shake-detecting sensor detects a shake of an apparatus body. A microcomputer computes a shake amount based on an output from the shake-detecting sensor. A camera signal processing circuit corrects motion of an image due to camera shake based on an output from the microcomputer. A rest-determining device determines, based on the output from the shake-detecting sensor, whether or not the apparatus body is at rest. A recorder records a picked-up image. A recorder vibration-determining device determines whether or not the apparatus body is vibrating due to vibration of the recorder. A cutoff frequency-setting device changes characteristics of the microcomputer based on a result of determination by the rest-determining device and a result of determination by the recorder vibration-determining device.

  • Patent number: 6765690
Abstract: This invention allows both a plateless textile printer that makes process color expression, and a plate textile printer to achieve equivalent color expressions. For this purpose, image data that uses an RGB pallet is converted into YMCK image data using a correction table. An ink-jet textile printer (14) prints on textile on the basis of the converted image data. On the other hand, the image data that uses the RGB pallet is sent to a plate separation data generation unit (15), and is separated into binary plate data, the number of which is the same as the number of ink colors of the ink-jet textile printer, using an RGB/ink color tone correction table to realize the same color expression as that of screen textile printing.

  • Patent number: 5754428
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission is controlled using a target acceleration map which contains values of target accelerations corresponding to a plurality of values of a first indication (e.g., the amount of depression of an accelerator pedal or the engine throttle opening) representative of the driver's intention for acceleration or deceleration and a plurality of values of a second indication representative of speeds of the motor vehicle. The target acceleration map is arranged such that when each of the values of the second indication is constant, each of the values of the target acceleration increases as the value of the first indication increases, at a rate which is greater if the first indication is smaller. From such a target acceleration map, a target acceleration is determined on the basis of the actual values of the values of the first and second indications at the time, and the speed reduction ratio of the transmission is controlled so that the target acceleration is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5456643
Abstract: A system for controlling an automobile transmission effects a gear change by disengaging synchronizing clutch means for a present gear position, achieving a neutral gear position, and then engaging a synchronizing clutch for a next gear position in response to a shift control signal. The automobile transmission has an actuator for selectively engaging and disengaging the synchronizing clutch. An electronic control unit controls an engine output adjusting assembly to adjust the output power of the engine and also controls the actuator to start disengaging the synchronizing clutch for a present gear position in response to a shift command signal. The electronic control unit also controls the actuator to complete disengaging the synchronizing clutch for a present gear position to enter the neutral gear position when substantially no load is transmitted between drive and driven members of the synchronizing clutch for a present gear position under the control of the engine output adjusting assembly.

  • Patent number: 5417623
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission on a motor vehicle is controlled to control a speed reduction ratio using, as a control value, a rate of change di/dt of the speed reduction ratio that is determined using a reserve horsepower of an engine on the motor vehicle, an engine rotational speed Ne, a vehicle speed V of the motor vehicle, a present acceleration Ga of the motor vehicle, and a target acceleration Gon. A control process detects whether a rate of change of an indication by a driver of the motor vehicle of an intention to accelerate or decelerate the motor vehicle is greater than a predetermined value or not, whether a target engine rotational speed Neo corresponding to the indication is greater than an actual engine rotational speed Nea or not and whether the target acceleration Gon is greater than the present acceleration Ga on an acceleration side (positive side) or not.

  • Patent number: 5355772
Abstract: A hydraulic servo unit for changing the swash plate angle of a continuously variable transmission to vary its speed reduction ratio comprises a cylinder whose chamber is divided into a rod-side chamber and a head-side chamber by a piston slidably fitted therein. The rod-side chamber is supplied with working oil under predetermined hydraulic pressure through a first hydraulic pressure supply passage. A second hydraulic pressure supply passage is connected to the head-side chamber through a duty-cycle-controlled first solenoid-operated valve, and a drain hydraulic passage is connected to the second hydraulic pressure supply passage through a second duty-cycle-controlled solenoid-operated valve. The first and second solenoid-operated valves are simultaneously actuated with different duty cycles.

  • Patent number: 5277286
Abstract: A vehicle speed is determined from a detected signal, e.g., pulses produced by a rotation sensor for detecting rotation of the output shaft of a transmission, which signal corresponds to rotation of road wheels. Then, the deceleration of the vehicle speed is calculated from the detected vehicle speed, and then a rate of change of the deceleration is calculated from the calculated deceleration. If the rate of change of the deceleration is larger than a predetermined value, thereby indicating a panic braking condition of the vehicle, an automatic clutch incorporated in the transmission is disengaged to prevent stalling of the vehicle engine.

  • Patent number: 5218540
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission on a motor vehicle is controlled by establishing a target terminal acceleration GO to be reached according to an indication of the driver's intention for acceleration or deceleration, such as the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal, and also to an indication of the speed of the motor vehicle. A present calculative acceleration G.sub.CAL is calculated on the basis of a marginal power Pa of the engine which drives the continuously variable transmission. A target present acceleration Gon required at the present time to vary the present acceleration up to the target terminal acceleration Go to be reached along a desired characteristic curve is established according to the difference .DELTA.G (=Go-G.sub.CAL) between the target terminal acceleration Go to be reached and the calculative acceleration G.sub.CAL.
