Publication number: 20130000071Abstract: The present invention provides a technology, which is capable of easily switching between the vacuum function and the blower function of the vacuum cleaner with a simple configuration, and is also capable of effectively utilizing the blower function even in the various situations. Typical air suction/injection device is configured that the interior of the main unit constitutes a main passage of air, and the interior of an injection passage section provided in the main body constitutes a sub-passage. Once a suctioned airstream is created in the main passage, a power fan inside of a suction chamber is rotated, and in conjunction with such a rotation, an injection fan is rotated so that an injecting airstream is created in the sub-passage. In such case, a passage switching section composed of a valve member provided in the location of joining the main passage and the sub-passage is switched to easily switch between a creation of an injecting airstream and a creation of a suctioned airstream.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 12, 2010Publication date: January 3, 2013Applicant: PANASONIC CORPORATIONInventors: Kenji Itou, Katsumi Matsumura, Yoshiki Kuroki, Tooru Odachi, Tatsuo Kikkawa, Masakazu Onda

Patent number: 7736406Abstract: A vacuum cleaner includes a main body accommodating therein an electric blower and a dust-removal driving body; and a filter unit including a frame body where a filter for collecting dust particles is installed and a dust removing plate provided at a downstream side of the filter, one end of the dust removing plate being fixed at the frame body. The other end of the dust removing plate is struck in an air flow direction by means related with driving the dust-removal driving body, thereby transmitting an impact on the frame body with a repulsive force thereof.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2005Date of Patent: June 15, 2010Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Yoshiki Kuroki, Hideaki Sakatani, Seiji Ishikawa, Atsushi Kitai

Patent number: 7306640Abstract: A vacuum cleaner includes a first dirt separation unit and a second dirt separation unit. The first dirt separation unit has a first inlet port through which a suction air stream including dirt particles is introduced thereinto, and the second dirt separation unit has a second inlet port through which the air stream introduced into the first dirt separation unit is introduced into the second dirt separation. The first and the second inlet port are disposed such that they are not registered with each other. Accordingly, the dirt particles suctioned are separated in two stages, thereby decreasing the possibility of occlusion of a filter and rapid deterioration of a suction force.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2003Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoshiki Kuroki, Seiji Yamaguchi, Tomonori Kato, Masashi Okushima, Yuichi Shimizu, Tomomi Mitani, Hiroshi Mori, Toru Odachi, Yoshiaki Onishi, Hidenori Kitamura, Toshifumi Miyahara, Takaaki Ogawa, Hirokazu Nagaoka
